The Space

The house is a peaceful, relaxing retreat set amongst protected forest - that means no neighbors and lots of privacy. We love our home and want others to enjoy it as much as we do.

Downstairs contains the private master bedroom, with a remodeled bathroom and its own deck. The bathroom features a tiled shower with 2 shower heads, 2 vanities, and heated tile floors to keep your feet toasty in the winter. There is also a king size Tempurpedic bed for a good night's rest.

Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size Tempurpedic bed and another with a trundle bed. There's also a recently remodeled full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, fully equipped laundry room and shared living space (great room with dining area, living area, kitchen and wet bar).

The kitchen has everything you could need, including a dishwasher, gas range (with 2 ovens), Cuisinart, KitchenAid mixer, copper and stainless steel pots/pans, plenty of dinnerware and glassware, and lots of other kitchen gadgets.

The great room has a large wood burning fireplace, high open beam ceilings, lots of large light-filled windows (many of which are south facing), and a well equipped entertainment system - flat screen TV with AppleTV (Netflix streaming, iTunes, HuluPlus), Blu-Ray player, surround sound, and iPod connectivity. There's also free secured WiFi throughout the house. The great room also features a dining area with a large dining table. Off the great room is a bar area that has a full wet bar and game table (including lots of games to play).

Upstairs there is a large deck with views of the wooded land surrounding the house, as well as peeks of Lake Tahoe. The deck has a large bbq that is connected to natural gas, so no need to worry about charcoal or propane tanks.

The beautiful beaches of Incline Village are only 5 minutes away, which we provide beach passes for in the summer. The local ski mountain (Diamond Peak) is less than a 10 minute drive, while all of the other ski mountains are easily accessible by private car or resort shuttles. Both golf courses in Incline are also a short drive away (+/- 5 minutes). Hiking trails can be accessed from the end of our street or a short drive away in town or up Mt. Rose. We can provide you with lots of info on local stuff to do - restaurant recommendations, excursions, hidden beaches, etc.

There is a $500 refundable deposit plus an additional $200 cleaning fee. Maximum occupancy is 6 persons.

  • I stayed at Kristina's home with 4 of my friends for the 4th of July holiday weekend. We came in from San Francisco and had SUCH a great time. I think we really have Kristina to thank for that. We are avid airbnb users, and between the 5 of us have stayed in many homes all over the world. We all agreed that Kristina's home in Tahoe might have been one of our favorites.

They have everything you could ever need in the kitchen, the patio is beautiful (we spent most of our time here), the beds are comfy, and the whole place is just so cozy.

I will DEFINITELY come back to this house in the future.

  • We had an absolutely amazing time at Kristina's Nevada home. The house was clean and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was very well-equipped, too, which made for some fun home-cooked dinners. We loved hanging out at the house and took advantage of its proximity both to the lake (walking distance) and to Northstar (20 minutes away). Although Kristina was traveling at the time and could not be reached, we had no problems with anything as she left thorough instructions about how to retrieve the key, wifi, appliances, etc. In short, so happy with our stay and hope to return soon!

  • Kristina's place was amazing. Extremely comfortable and well decorated and very close to everything you'd need during your stay (restaurants, grocery store, etc.). Also super close to both Northstar and Diamond Peak, which was great for our ski weekend. The Tempurpedic beds were perfect after days on the slopes :-) The kitchen was very well appointed and stocked with every cooking/prep item you could possible imagine, which was perfect as we ate in the entire weekend. We would definitely love to stay with Kristina again in the future and certainly plan to do so!

  • Our greatest discovery ever!!... My kids wanted to adopt the house. We agree! They appreciated, as we did, the comfort of every room, light and space anywhere ine the house. This house is beautifully decorated in a luxury style, nice and peaceful colors. Once you are here you only think of resting and looking at the landscape throughout all the windows. The area is very quiet and safe and it is easy to go for a walk or do some shopping and come back home to enjoy the dining-room or the terrace. We simply loved this place and highly recommend it.

  • Our stay was absolutely perfect! Took a weekend ski vacation with friends. House was not right on the slopes but is very close by northstar, squaw, and alpine and was completely worth the short drive. The house is one-of-a-kind -- so thoughtfully constructed and decorated. Definitely had the rustic ski lodge feel but far more stylish. Comfy Tempurpedic beds and the kitchen amenities were straight out of a Williams Sonoma catalog. Such an awesome deal for the money. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

We're a professional couple (both urban planners) in our mid to late 30's that moved to Lake Tahoe from San Francisco in 2007. We are interested in art, photography, great food and wine, and enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer. Traveling and new experiences are important to us, and we're happy to open up our home to others while we are out exploring new places.
