Enjoy our rustic, cozy, historic log cabin in the woods on 21 acres with two streams and a little meadow. The logs, from the 1800's, were reconfigured 17 years ago combining a rich history with high speed internet and modern amenities. Sink into the luscious bed with totally organic sheets, mattress topper, and pillows. Take a walk on the original wagon train road down to a stream or bath your senses in the majestic view of Jump Mountain from the meadow.

The space
The "Little Cabin in the Woods" is 17 miles from Lexington and most groceries and restaurants. Two "Bed & Breakfast" options are available where breakfast will be supplied in the cabin upon your request. Historic places, wineries, nature walks, tourist attractions abound within 25 to 50 miles.

The cabin is on 21 acres - mostly woods with a little meadow and two streams. It is a quiet place and the 3 neighbors would like to keep it that way! Lexington is a 30 minute drive, Staunton is 38 minutes, Goshen Pass is 17 minutes, Wades Mill is 21 minutes, Jump Mt. Winery is 10 minutes. There is river rafting, The Blue Ridge Parkway, the Chessie Trail, and many historic sites and museums.

Please be advised that, starting May 2022, a small, ecologically friendly cabin will start to be constructed at the far end of the meadow from the Little Cabin. The builder will have to drive by the Little Cabin on the way to the meadow. This could reduce the total isolation of the cabin on certain days.

I love family, work, and contributing to community. I live a very healthy lifestyle and am concerned about the health of US food that is available to the general consumer. I like to stay in unconventional accomodations - like vacation home rentals. I could stay in a tent or a palace as long as it is safe.
