Welcome to The Lodge at Hot Lake Springs, originally built in 1906 as a destination for those seeking the therapeutic benefits of the mineral hot springs. We once again offer adventurous travelers a soak and a good nights rest in one of the west's most historic hot springs lodges, located in La Grande, Oregon.

The space
The Lodge at Hot Lake Springs: a historic brick hotel on the edge of a lake steaming with hot springs. Enjoy relaxing in the five shared hot springs soaking tubs that overlook "Hot Lake" and the surrounding mountains.

Lodge Rm. 118 is a two room suite with a Queen bed and a private bathroom with zero entry shower. This is an ADA accessible room, rentable only to those with physical disabilities, unless all other rooms are reserved. This room has not been renovated yet. This room accommodates a maximum of 2 Guests, who must be 12 years or older.

Most rooms in the Lodge are still authentic and historic in almost every way. The windows and doors are over a hundred years old, and function as well you might expect. Sound travels in these old buildings, keeping your voice low at night and early mornings is appreciated by all. The geothermal radiators and pipes can be hot to the touch and sometimes noisy. We don't have AC, TV's or Phones (but there is wifi). What we do offer is blissful relaxation in thermal hot springs to your hearts content and a genuine stay in a historic hotel. Welcome!

Other things to note
This is a historic property. It isn’t perfect, it’s old and quaint. It’s a very authentic early 1900’s experience with a bit of a modern twist. Please keep your expectations accordingly.

Please verify that your reservation has the correct number of guests listed and that all guests are 12 years of age or older. ** AT THIS TIME, ACCESS TO THE LODGE PROPERTY & SOAKING POOLS IS LIMITED TO REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY **

For the relaxation of all Guests, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL may be brought to the Lodge property, including in your vehicle or your lodge room. We have beer, wine and CBD drinks available for purchase at the Front Desk.

Renovations inside and outside are ongoing. We always try our best to be quiet, but you may at times hear construction noise.

We are near a highway and a railroad (no crossings and usually no whistle), we are surrounded by the sounds of animals such as birds and coyotes, it gets very windy all winter long. These things can and do cause noise that will bother you if you’re a light sleeper. We have ear plugs available at the check in desk.

Check in time is from 4:00pm to 10:00pm PST/PDST. Please be aware of the time change if you’re heading from the Boise area.

Follow the link on our website for food delivery from Side A Brewing. Orders are required to be placed online from 4-5pm. Delivery to the Lobby is at 6:15pm. There is no food service on site at this time.

We provide Mt. Hood Roasters Coffee and breakfast snacks (fruit, granola bars, muffins) in the morning in the Lobby.

What to bring: A heavy reusable water bottle (we have chilled mineral water stations) and heavy shoes to wear to the soaking tubs - yes, it can be windy enough to blow them away. A mask for indoor areas. A swimsuit. Snacks.

We get a real winter in Eastern Oregon, be prepared and able to travel in extreme winter conditions and to potentially wait out Interstate closures.
Standard cancellation policy is in place.
