About this listing

A new, bright, non smoking and tastefully decorated 1 bedroom apartment in central Paris. Great transport, a food haven for food lovers within walking distance from the quartier Montorgueil area, and many important national museums and sites

The space

A bright, non smoking and tastefully decorated apartment in the centre of the city of lights.

The apartment is located in a quiet street ( after 7pm every evening and weekends / residents are mostly young professionals, business owners, and young families), in the much searched after second district of Paris. From here, you are just a quick metro ride ( 2 main train stations, both a 5 minute walk) to most monuments, museums, cathedrals, restaurants and shopping galleries. During the summer and sunny days, you can easily walk to most destinations.

As well, the famously known district of Montorgueil ( Paris most famous street known for its fine French cuisine and local organic products, cafes, eclectic food scene, wine bars, fine bakery shops and more) is just around the corner. This area is known for its French countryside feeling in the city. A popular spot for locals to socialize while doing their fresh local bought organic food shopping. The area is perfectly lined with famous restaurants, cafes, bakeries (including the famous La Maison Stopher) fish mongers, flower shops, produce stands, cheese shops, wine shops and its great night (URL HIDDEN) a magical location to start discovering Paris, if you are a food ' I must try everything while in France' kind of folk! I am!

For those travelling on a special (URL HIDDEN) worries. Two organic grocery stores are just a five minute walk. For parents with little ones, 4 local groceries stores and a nearby pharmacy open 6 days a week. ( two groceries open on Sundays until 1pm)

This apartment can sleep up to 3-4 people ( pls check with me, first :) )
Ideal for a couple with 1 or 2 children (in the sofa bed)
It has everything ready to call it home.

(This flat is on the 3rd floor ( US equivalent: walk up) of a recognized historical building, therefore, no lift )

In the main room, there`s top of the line internet, wi-fi, international TV, free international calls to most countries ( please check with me for further information) and a sound system. For a relaxing evening, a lovely dining table for four to enjoy all the lovely goodies from rue MONTOGEUIL. In addition, a comfy sitting area, tv with English channels, and a large, recently purchased bed.

In the entry room, there`s a full size sofa bed ( nice and (URL HIDDEN) faces the inner court of the building) is ready to go. In the same room a large closet with lots of storage area can be used to fit suit cases and lots of everything! ( an iron and an ironing board, and a baby feather mattress stored in the closet )

The kitchen is fully equipped: micro oven, oven, stove, fridge, toaster, water bolier, and coffee machine...plus all the cooking tools to make a great meal with all the fresh products from rue montorgueil.

The bathroom comes with a real shower, good hot running water, with superb water pressure!, a washer and drier, towel drier and hair dryer.

The WC has a traditional (URL HIDDEN) funny cables to pull!

This apartment is in the heart of the city; the evenings and weekends are quiet due to the fact that, rue de caire is located in the garment district ( the Soho of Paris & since this is mostly Jewish owned businesses, the area is closed on Saturdays, and on Sundays the area is pedestrian...quiet during weekends and evenings)

In nutshell, what I like the most about this apartment is its location. The area is covered with cafes, squares, tiny streets full of history and beautiful Parisian architecture. As well as the typical Parisian family owned shops, and amazing food! Central Paris is a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

Looking forward to meeting you in the heart of this amazing and beautiful city!

Guest access

Line 4 : Line 3. Within two stops away from Chatalet: large, central Paris transport hub, 2 stations away from Eurostar and 2 stations away from Opera ( AIRFRANCE bus from CDG stops here...the best way to get into town)

Monica's place was great. It was very clean, well equipped and in a great location. The sliding door in the living room was handy as it divided the 2 beds so you could have some privacy. It was tastefully decorated too!

The apartment was lovely - definitely suited to couples. Quirky and interesting layout compared to what we are used to from Australia. Felt safe and secure. Small stairs to be expected - great water pressure and a comfortable bed. Double glazed front windows made it easy to sleep. Fan definitely assisted with the humid conditions. Great to have breakfast when arriving. Very central and easy to get around and walk to everything.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was just as described - very pretty and in a brilliant location. Monica left us brioche and jam which was great for breakfasts and she was very good at communicating throughout our stay and making sure we had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds too!! :)

We met with Emmanuel to check in and he was very kind to wait for us even though our flight was delayed and we got lost on our way to the flat. He showed us around and even brought us groceries. The location of the flat is good (between two metro stops) and near many restaurants. However, the entrance into the building looks very sketchy (but it was safe) and the hallway going up the stairs is dark (sometimes the motion lights didn't work). The flat itself was underwhelming. I imagined an actual 1 bedroom apartment but it was more like a studio. The shower was in the kitchen which is very strange and the toilet room was on the other side of the flat next to the bed. So unless you're a couple, it is very awkward. The bathroom was not throughly cleaned and the towels were scratchy. I think the pictures were from a while ago because the blinds on the windows and rugs were a little old and needed an update. Monica was very nice to check in and be sure we were doing ok. I would recommend the flat only for a few nights.

We just loved our stay. Can't say enough about the location. Montorgueil street was a every night dinner staple for us. We went all over during the day but always returned to our home base. We tried to eat at every cafe on the street! We are in love with the food and the people. The beauty was sensory overload in the best way. We have already recommended Monica's place to our friends. We loved opening the windows in the morning to capture the lovely French
