A new, bright, non smoking and tastefully decorated 1 bedroom apartment in central Paris. Great transport, a food haven for food lovers within walking distance from the quartier Montorgueil area, and many important national museums and sites
A new, bright, non smoking and tastefully decorated apartment in the centre of the city of lights.
The apartment is located in a quiet street ( after 7pm every evening and weekends / residents are mostly young professionals, business owners, and young families), in the much searched after second district of Paris. From here, you are just a quick metro ride to most monuments, museums, cathedrals, restaurants and shopping galleries. During the summer and sunny days, you can easily walk to most destinations.
As well, the famously known district of Montorgueil ( Paris most famous street known for its fine French cuisine, cafes, eclectic food scene, wine bars, fine chocolate shops and more) is just around the corner. This area is known for its French countryside feeling in the city. A popular spot for locals to socialize while doing their shopping. The area is perfectly lined with famous restaurants, cafes, bakeries (including the famous La Maison Stopher) fish mongers, flower shops, produce stands, cheese shops, wine shops and its great night life...it's a magical location to start discovering Paris.
For those travelling on a special diet...no worries. Two organic grocery stores are just a five minute walk. For parents with little ones, 4 local groceries stores and a nearby pharmacy open 6 days a week. ( two groceries open on Sundays until 1pm)
This apartment can sleep up to 4 people, and it has everything ready to call it home.
( this flat is on the 3rd floor ( US equivalent: walk up) of a recognized historical building, therefore, no lift )
In the main room, there`s top of the line internet, wi-fi, international TV, free international calls to most countries ( please check with me for further information) and a fantastic sound system. For a relaxing evening, a lovely dining table for four awaits for that perfect gourmet dinner, and a comfy ( 160 x 200) bed for relaxing or some late night reading.
In the entry room a full size sofa bed ( nice and quiet ...it faces the inner court of the building) is ready to go. In the same room a very large closet with lots of storage area can be used to fit suit cases and lots of everything! ( an iron and an ironing board, and a baby feather mattress stored in the closet )
The kitchen is fully equipped: micro oven, oven, stove, fridge, toaster, water bolier, and coffee machine...plus all the cooking tools to make a great meal with all the fresh products from rue montorgueil.
The bathroom comes with a real shower, good hot running water, with superb water pressure!, a washer and drier, towel drier and hair dryer.
The WC has a traditional toilet...no funny cables to pull!
This apartment is in the heart of the city; the evenings and weekends are quiet due to the fact that, rue de caire is located in the garment district ( the Paris Soho...must see before it disappears ) of Paris, and Sundays the area becomes a pedestrian zone.
In nutshell, what I like the most about this apartment is its location. The area is covered with cafes, squares, tiny streets full of history and beautiful Parisian architecture , typical Parisian , family owned shops, and amazing food! Central Paris is a wonderful and unforgettable experience!
Looking forward to meeting you in the heart of this dazzling city!
Line 4 : Line 3. Within two stops away from Chatalet: large, central Paris transport hub, 2 stations away from Eurostar and 2 stations away from Opera ( AIRFRANCE bus from CDG stops here...the best way to get into town)
I always available by phone, text, email
Great location in central PARIS in one of the city`s oldest neighborhoods. A great place to arrive, put on your walking shoes and get ready to get lost! The architecture, the narrow streets, the endless unique, charming shops and boutiques of locally owned Parisians, and the amazing food and wine scene! A true Parisian experince!
Plenty! Line 4, line 3 and within 2 stops from:
Chatalet, 3 stops from Eurostar, and 2 from Opera...very central line connections to all rest the city and suburbs
This is a flat that I prefer to rent for 7 days and more. However, shorter period may be possible.

I recently traveled to Paris with 2 of my friends. We found the flat on Airbnb, having never used the site, we were rightfully nervous, but were beyond pleasantly surprised! We got everything listed and more! Monica was very sweet and kind, taking more than an hour to welcome us and give us tips and recommendations for dinner and metro use. She even helped me carry my bag up the stairs to the flat!
As for the apartment it was exactly as it said it was. Very neat, clean, and cozy. Perfect for 3 of us, though we spent more time outside exploring Paris. We have no complaints. Quiet building and neighborhood with cute shops and restaurants. Frenchies to go is a must to try! The apartment is within walking distance to many sites, including the Louve and even the Eiffel tower. Metro line 3/4 brought us everywhere else and was easy to navigate the rest of the metro system. Overall a very nice experience. I will be using Airbnb again and would love to stay at Monica's again.
Merci bocu Monica! Maybe we will see you in the states!!
Great little apartment. Extremely we'll fitted out. The apartment has everything you need to be comfortable. Monica is a gracious and informative host. Location is FANTASTIC, giving a taste of all parts of Paris.
I had a wonderful stay at Monica's apartment. Monica was very warm and helpful, she was waiting for me at the apartment and gave me a comprehensive tour of the apartment. The apartment is very clean, cosy, quiet, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Paris. The location was great, close to Rue Montorgueil (great foodie street), the area isn't touristy but it's only a short Metro ride or comfortable walk to sights like the Louvre. I stayed in the apartment with my mother, I slept on the sofa bed which is very comfortable. Even though the apartment is described as a studio, there are sliding doors separating the living area from the room where the sofa is located, so there was still plenty of privacy. I highly recommend Monica's apartment to anyone visiting Paris, it was truly wonderful.
Wonderful apartment! We stayed in the amount of three people we were comfortable. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Monica, the perfect host at the meeting she told us all the details of the apartment, showed where to dine and buy products. We are very pleased.
Monica and her apartment were amazing. The apartment itself is comparable to a revonated walk-up apt in a New York walk-up. Extremely clean. Apt was a little cold in the main living area and COLD in the bathroom/kitchen area but was understandable considering the weather conditions at the time and the set up of the apartment. Monica was punctual and met us at the apartment as soon as we arrived to Paris. She left us helpful guide books and recs about where to eat, where to catch the metro, and when things were opened and closed. The apartment is in an amazing location...you will feel like a true Parisian staying here! Next to a lot of local shop and near an incredible, blocked off street of all restaurants/cafes/bars to hang out at. The apartment is also very close (<5min to the other) walk to 2 central metro stations so getting around the city was very easy. My fiance and I had a wonderful time and would stay at this apartement again if returning to paris.
We had an amazing few days in Paris, Monica's beautiful apartment was the perfect place and the location was excellent! It was very quiet in the evening, centrally located for easy walking tours to various attractions, and close to several metro stations. Monica was a delight, a really wonderful hostess. We can't wait to come and stay with her again!
What a beautiful place... a storied, garment district passage way in a part of Paris that you won't find on the tourist maps. Yet even still, you are steps from the coolest little pedestrian district, and a short walk from the groovy neighborhoods of Bastille, Republique, and the Marais. Super safe too.
I had a snafu with the keys late on a rainy night and Bertrand was there to fix it within the hour, just enough time to get a little tipsy and meet a traveling rock band who helped us call when my cell didn't work. Scored free tickets to their show the next night!
Note to Americans, don't go without securing cell service from your home provider, or buying a cheap burner phone while there. My local carrier had me convinced wifi was free and prolific all over Paris and I could use (website hidden) Voice. Not exactly true. Just get the damn burner phone. However if you're too hooked up you might miss the opportunity to get helped out by rockstars. But it will certainly be easier on your hosts.
For that matter, fellow Americans, get a credit card with a "chip" on it too. Trust me, worth the effort. Your bank will know how.
The apartement itself was quiet at night. How that happened in Paris I'm still not sure but just don't ask questions. If quiet is important to you, this is the place.
And everything in the flat is brand spanking new. It's so clean it made me a bit nervous, but my Mother and I still let our messy side out anyway.
There is a sliding door between the sleeping areas, which is nice for privacy. One bed is real, the other is surprisingly comfy for a convertable.
There are stairs, but only 3 short, relatively wide flights, so not a huge deal even carrying big bags. Its Paris, if walk ups freak you out get a hotel. But you wont get the same value, space, or grooviness for the price.
Monica is an absolutely wonderful host. My husband and I had arrived late on Sunday evening (around 10PM), but Monica waited for us and met us personally outside of the apartment. She gave us a brief tour and history of the apartment (which apparently was built in the days of Napoleon) and made sure we had everything we needed before she left.
The apartment itself was great. Cozy bed, stove and refrigerator, and plenty of hot water (with good water pressure!). For two people, there was plenty of space - definitely a better value than the amount of space that you would get at a hotel in Paris from my experience. The location was central and easily walkable to many different sites and places to eat.
Rue Montorgueil was less than a 5 minute walk away and has a variety of cafes, markets, and bakeries that we frequented each day. There are even a couple of 24-hour eateries nearby for those that may be arriving late or are looking for a late night snack.
The Louvre is about a 15-20 minute walk away, along with the Tuileries, but there is also a metro station about 5 minutes walk from the apartment that will connect you to pretty much anywhere you want to go.
Overall, we had a wonderful time in Paris while staying at Monica's apartment. Would definitely book it again. Thank you Monica!
My two daughters and I had a great time staying in Monica's lovely flat. The location is very central and the market street with everthing you would want is 3 blocks away. The flat is very well appointed if you want to cook. It was pristine with loads of hot water. The toilet and shower were very modern.
Monica couldn't have been more helpful, she gave us instructions to the flat and met us there the first morning to explain everything. We had a couple of questions during the week and she got back to us promptly.
We would gladly spend another vacation in Monica's flat.
Monica’s flat was the perfect pied-a-terre to explore Paris.
It is situated at one end of Rue Montorgueil, a lovely & lively
pedestrian walkway. At the other end , you find yourself in the
heart of Paris. There are 2 metro stations nearby, but this wonderful stroll down to “les halle”s will beckon you past the merto stop! The apartment itself is a third floor walk-up, but it does have landings at each floor should you need to breakup the climb. We found it quite manageable. The apartment was equipped with everything you might need, Including plenty of hot water, and water pressure that is unheard of in Paris! It would be comfortable for 3 adults or a family of 4. As for our hosts, Monica & her charming daughter, well that was the BEST part
of our stay in the Rue Caire!! We will most definitely be back
