Escape to this newly renovated, off-beat retreat for a magical stay. Part of Tyringham’s Gingerbread House located on the Santarella Estate in the Berkshires, Western Mass. This one-of-a-kind loft with tower bedchamber offers guests a fairytale experience. The open concept living space filled with plants brings the outdoors inside and offers ample room to relax. If looking for activity, guests can spend the day on the grounds, walking nearby trails, or exploring the many nearby Berkshire towns.

The space
Enter into large open sitting area (second story entrance) with a sofa, hanging chair, television, and windows that offer views out into the gardens. To the right, a bohemian bedchamber with full-sized bed is hidden behind a sliding door. Up one step, the 'Tower' section has a suitable kitchenette with microwave, fridge, Ninja Foodi XL, induction cooktop, and a chemex coffee maker. There is also a cozy eating area with table and chairs. A large bath contains a double vanity, huge walk-in shower and private water closet. Climb the stairs to a loft bedchamber that sleeps two in a queen-sized canopy bed.

The Gingerbread House Tower is situated on 4 acres including lovely gardens, beautiful lily pond, stone bridges, a running brook, stone bench seating area with 'chiminea', and wooded area. Absolutely unique, a storybook experience for up to 4 quests. Parking available for up to 2 vehicles.

While we do not allow pets, we will consider requests to allow 1 small pet with prior approval, additional fee, and acceptance of rules & policies.

Santarella is located in the Tyringham Valley, tucked away 3.5 miles from Mass. I-90, a lovely and magical place where one feels like they have stepped back in time. This is definitely a place to 'get away from it all', enjoy quiet, rural surroundings close to the Appalachian Trail and Tyringham Cobble for hiking and many lovely ponds for swimming or kayaking. The town has an exceptionally beautiful swimming pond (2 miles away) which our guests may use and the Monterey Town Beach is a short 5 mile drive.

The Berkshire's wonderful outdoor and cultural attractions including Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Norman Rockwell, MassMOCA, and Hancock Shaker Village. A quick 15 minute drive to Stockbridge, Great Barrington, Lee, and Lenox where shopping, restaurants, and art await.
