Emelda & Thomas hosted my parents for 1 week and all what I can say is that they had a fantastic stay! My parents were very exited about their kindness and felt really like home and think about a second stay!
Thanks for beeing so patient with language difficulties and beeing very obliging.
Everything was fine and my parents could start everyday with a wonderful breakfast!
I definitely recommend their house for everyone who likes to have a familiar stay! Thanks a lot again!
Emelda was exceptionally helpful, welcomed me and my mother on arrival and remained available throughout our stay. She speaks Italian as well, which was helpful for my mother. Because we had an early flight, she even left us breakfast ready for the morning.
There's three bathrooms available, everything was clean and in order. The Tube is a less then 5 minutes walk. Would definitely recommend.
I had a great stay at Emelda & Thomas house! I felt welcome from the very beginning!
The room where I stayed in was clean, light and very comfortable. It had everything one may need for a short and even longer stay: a comfortable bed, wardrobe, table, chest of drawers and even TV!
Even though it is a big house, I never had any problems with noise or issues with unavailable bathroom in the morning; everything was there when I needed it.
Overall, both Emelda and Thomas are exceptionally good hosts! I definitely recommend their house for anyone who comes to London and wants to feel like a part of a family!
I send you this massage for letting you know that I enjoyed staying with Emelda and Thomas.
I found them very kind and helpful couple.
I am wishing them all the very best.
My son Edoardo has had a great time in this house. And 'everything was perfect, clean, equipped accurate. But the friendliness of the owners was excellent. It is very well served by public transport. See you soon, Remigio and Edward
We loved our short vacation in Emelda's & Thomas place. I (55) was there with my son (15) to visit places where I was as a student and my son for Tottenham Hotspur. The loft room was small but OK, good beds & cable TV. There were two good bathrooms that we could use ... so for me a little back to the student days :)
Breakfast was great! We would come back! Thomas and Emelda are realy nice people and verry hospitable. Thanks again!
Thomas and Emelda were the very best hosts! I could not have asked for better accommodations. They were extremely kind, helpful, and there when I needed anything. The room was exactly as described and very comfortable, cozy, and quiet. I never had an issue. The neighborhood is beautiful and just blocks away from the tube. I felt safe walking back and forth, night or day. I would highly recommend their home to anyone!
Very nice place in a quiet residential area, yet close to facilities. Thomas and Emelda are very nice hosts and persons.
I was not aware that the term 'Loft' has a different meaning in England than here in the states. A loft here in Chicago means an open spaced room(s) with typically high ceilings. The room , although decent a size, was on the very top floor. The building has three floors: Ground, 1, 2. The room was on the #2 floor, so the roof beams came in at angles. I was constantly having to watch bumping my head. for someone 5' 6" it would not be a problem. I am 5' 10", not really tall, but my height did present a problem. I asked Emelda is she could move us to another room. She said that it was not possible. I did not argue with her. I just paid extra attention when we were in the room.
Good part was that we had our own bathroom across the hall, but it was for baths only. If we wanted to take a shower, we had to go down to the 1 st floor, not a big deal.
We got our own key to the room. The door locks were opened with an old timey church key, something charming, but not very secure. But the door lock to the building opened with the newer style keys, so i figured we were pretty secure
Emelda provided us with a good breakfast every day. good coffee, tea, good pastries, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, toast. She varied it every day so you didn't have the same thing over & over.
She was very helpful and give me advice on things in the neighborhood, and even took us to the Tube stop when we left.
The only advice I would give is that if you are tall, make sure you get a room on the lower floor.
Great location in a nice quiet street. Off road parking was a bonus. Great breakfast as well. No problems at all.
