Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • The apartment is in a great location and is exactly as advertised. The place was clean and there were no issues checking in. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Our stay in Paris with Patrice Quinty at "Very Heart of Paris, Charming" flat was just OK. Prior to our arrival communication was great and he gave specific directions to the flat via the Metro. Upon arrival, the house maid that greeted us was late, after confirmation of time to meet, and was unpleasant. She left an unusable amount of toilet paper, no dish soap and one clean towel each for our 3 night stay. The washing machine in the flat was broken and Patrice failed to get it repaired during our stay. Also, the cable TV did not work the entire time. The building is very loud at night with people slamming doors and walking above with shoes on. The interior of the flat was fine but small for 4 people.

  • Great apartment, well located and clean. I definitely recommend it

  • As advertise well located. A no-nonsense apartment fit for a few days. We are a family of six and would have found it a bit tight if we were to stay any longer than 3 days

  • Patrice was incredibly nice and accommodating. The flat is perfectly situated in a safe, non-touristy area with wonderful sights and smells. We had 6 people in our party and found the space quaint and completely suitable. Highly recommended!!

    Thank you Rachel

  • Nice apartment. Big enough for 5 people - 2 adults and 3 children in my opinion. Loft is too small for adults. Excellent location. We visited on July 14 to 21, 2013. It was very hot in Paris. Apartment could use a fan as it gets hot, especially in the loft bedroom. We left windows open at night but neighbours were partying all night. Perhaps it was only during our week there. I would recommend this apartment.

  • Our time at the apartment was a disaster. From the moment we arrived there was no one to let us into the apartment, we had to call the Host and wait at least half an hour later for the maid to arrive. We were not happy with the apartment, it had mold through the shower and smelt throughout the apartment. The toaster was rusty and in no condition to be used, there was clumps of hair on the floor. The apartment was just horrible. After speaking with the Host about the cleanliness and smell, he advised us that is what the old paris smells like and was not willing to rectify the issue. We had no other option but to leave and check into a hotel. I felt the Host mislead us in believing his apartment was clean from his description provided on airbnb, and he obviously left the picture of the shower off. Overall our experience was not pleasant and unfortunately it was a costly one also.

  • Very small flat in a neighborhood in Paris that is near several Metro Stops and close to several of the key sights, like the Pompidou Centre.

The small amount of space was a challenge for our family of four--I think the place is much more suitable for 2-3 people rather than the 6 people that the host advertises. There is a loft bed quite near the ceiling--so you can't stand up in the loft. A queen size bed in a "bedroom" that is as big as the bed--the bed is plenty big and comfortable, though. Space for everyone to sleep, but barely any room to hang out.

We enjoyed the location near the open air Montorguiel (sp?) Market, where we walked every day to get fresh bread, cheese and fruit for breakfast. The neighborhood is quite safe and generally quiet at night (though not Friday night, when everyone seemed to be out partying).

Someone was there to meet us at check-in at the specified time. Her English was limited. She did not give us the code for the front door (and we forgot to ask), so we had a few panicked hours trying to figure out how we could leave the place without it. We ended up getting it from someone entering the building. Patrice did respond to our email about it, but later in the evening.

From the time of booking, Patrice was quite responsive to our questions, we didn't have to wait long to hear from him.

We also had difficulty making the washing machine work--the trick was to turn the water on! Clothes came out soaking wet, but it may be because we overloaded the machine. We're used to huge, American washing machines.
