Cozy & quiet guest house on Lake Samish! Large picture windows let in abundant natural light & peek-a-boo views of Lake Samish. Nestled next to 20 acres of neighboring forest you'll be surrounded by nature and tranquility. Retreat to a peaceful respite after your day of traveling, adventuring, or escape from the city life to our cute and comfortably appointed cottage that will feel like home.
Close to Galbraith Mountain, Lake Padden and Chuckanut!

The space
The cottage is located on our primary residence property, but detached from the main house. The entire cottage has been recently remodeled including new windows, flooring, paint, carpet, window coverings, water heater and heating system. It is very cozy and comfortable, private and safe.

The main level includes a sitting area with 2 club chairs and small table, a small desk and chair, kitchenette, full bathroom and queen size bed, nightstands and a large flat screen TV. Upstairs is a loft that has a twin mattress. (Please note the steps going up to the loft are slightly steep and the loft is open to the rest of the space. There is a railing, but would not be suitable for small children.)

Stay cool in the summer & warm in the winter w/ ductless heating system. Kitchenette features a small fridge/freezer, microwave, & Keurig coffee maker (coffee & creamer, tea, hot chocolate provided). Full private bathroom (including shampoo, conditioner, soap), flat screen smart TV, Netflix guest account, & free WiFi. Dedicated covered parking, w/ additional parking if needed. Electric car charging available for additional fee of $10/day.

MOUNTAIN BIKERS: We offer a hot/cold wash station for you to clean your bike after a day on the mountain, free of charge!!! We can also provide secure storage of your bike if you'd like. Just inquire when booking for details.

Guest access
Guests will be able to park in our carport, have full access to the cottage.

Other things to note
- No beach/lake access is permitted or available to guests.
- We offer a hot/cold wash station for our mountain biking guests. Just ask us about it when you book your stay and we can give you details.
- We offer electric car charging for an additional charge, please inquire about it when you book.
- This is our primary residence so you will likely see us coming and going during your stay.
- We have 2 friendly outdoor cats that you may see roaming the property. Their names are Scout (all grey) and Buffy (grey w/ white boots). They are not allowed in the cottage so we can keep that space free of allergens for our allergy prone guests.

Neighborhood highlights

We are tucked in the corner on a dead-end street, with our property bordering county owned undeveloped land. It is quiet, peaceful and you are surrounded by nature.
We are located about 10-15 minutes to the Fairhaven neighborhood and downtown Bellingham. From the Bellingham Airport it is approximately a 20 minute drive. The US/Canadian boarder is a 35 minute drive away. We are also approximately 20 minutes from Burlington and Mt. Vernon, very centrally located depending on where your travels take you. The Mt. Baker Ski Resort is roughly 1 hr 30 min away (more depending on weather/driving conditions). For the mountain bikers, we are a short 5-10 minute drive to the main Galbraith mountain parking lot. Lake Padden and Chuckanut are also just a short 10-15 minute drive from us.

We live full time on Lake Samish, where we enjoy living the "lake life" 365/24/7! Nathan was born/raised in Whatcom county and Kate moved here from the greater Seattle area 18 years ago. We enjoy boating, hiking, and discovering great new spots to dine in Bellingham, spending time with our family and friends and traveling. Our kids keep us busy with their sports and activities most days, but when we have free time we enjoy taking them up to Mt. Baker to snowboard during the winter or golfing at nearby Lake Padden!
