  • Ellen is by far the "Hostess with the Mostess"! She truly provides an oasis in the desert for travelers far and near. The Cavern de Art is immaculate, comfy/charming, and the backyard patio overlooking lush green grass (along with flowers and trees) is a relaxing haven in itself. Ellen's friendly, perky personality will surely add to your stay in a very positive way. This is a 5-star place. Thanks, Ellen!

  • Ellen was a fantastic host! The accommodations were as she describes and she even provided a welcome basket with goodies and provided juice, milk, coffee, and more! I was able to cook breakfast both mornings and felt at home. The hot tub was nice and we enjoyed the setting and seeing the stars. Definitely better than a hotel! Very relaxing getaway location.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cavern de Art. Ellen is a gracious hostess, the accommodations were comfortable and clean and had all the necessary accouterments. (Hello glorious coffee and cream that were waiting for us!) Oh...and don't be in too big a hurry...the patio looking out on her gorgeous backyard is sublime.

  • Ellen's basement apartment was a perfect base for exploring Bend. The kitchen was very convenient when I wanted to cook a meal, the entire apartment was clean and comfortable, and the hot tub was great for relaxing. Ellen was an excellent host, even giving a very fun sushi lesson one evening. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Bend.
