About This Listing
Lovely double room in a stylish and cosy apartment with an ethnic touch, located in the very central area of Rome, Piazza Bologna. Very quiet place, with windows facing a private shared garden, and situated in a building of the ‘30s. The area is very lively, full of small shops, wine bars, and a typical local food market.
Excellent connection to the historic centre and only two blocks from Bologna metro station (LINEA B - 3 stops from Termini Station, 5 from the Colosseum, and 6 from the Spanish Steps). Tiburtina Train and Bus Station, with all train connections to the airport is just at a walking distance or one stop by tube.
The neighborhood of Piazza Bologna, which is very close to the historical center, is known for the wonderful historic park of Villa Torlonia, so beautiful that seems an open-air museum, and it is close to Villa Borghese and the Aurelian Wall. The University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ is nearby, and so it is the university district of San Lorenzo.
The room comes furnished with a French size futon (140 cm large), wardrobe, and table.
P.S. Please do not make a reservation before sending an inquiry email. Thanks!
Be clean. Do not ruin furniture or amenities. Do not invite any stranger or other people at home.
Nicole has been very kind with us. She had a warm welcome when we arrived and she took time to give us all her best addresses.
Moreover, the flat is well located, less than 5 minutes to Piazza Bologna station.
I definitely recommend staying at her place which is very affordable.
What a lovely home Nicole has! From now on, it's my interiour rolemodel. Unless you have a little trauma from the movie Birds by Hitchcock (there is a nice movieposter of it in the bedroom), I couldn't find a stylish reason to not want to stay in her house.
It was quiet at night, it was clean and I never had to wait to get in the bathroom. Also I appreciated Nicole's alternative and architectural tips for Rome. I think Nicole has a vibrant personality, I liked that. Also her English is perfect. And thanks again for warning me for that one-day public transport strike.
The neighbourhood felt safe and the busstop was right in front of the appartmentdoor. My favorite lunchsstop was "9 favole di pane", just a 100 meter walk from her place.
My only personal "dis-satisfaction" was a practical thing in her shower. It wasn't possible to plug the showerhead onto the wall. So I had to be on my knees and wash my hair with one hand. But again, that satisfaction was overcompensated with her beautiful interiour. ;)
Thank you, Nicole! And also "grazie mille" to your mother!
Nicole is a great host, welcomed me right after I arrived in Rome and then gave me a short introduction to the most important places and sites of the city (also some personal hotspots). The appartment is lovely and there's plenty of space. The atmosphere is inviting and cosy, reflecting Nicole's personality. We didn't have enough time to talk, but Nicole is easy-going and I would have loved to spend more time chatting (but Rome is time-consuming!).
I had a wonderful time in Rome. The flat is located very conveniently, 2 minutes from the underground station from where you can get wherever you wish withing a very short time. The flat itself is beautiful, very nicely furnished and has everything you need. Nicole is a great host, will tell you everything you need to know about Rome so that you can enjoy your time to the fullest. I can only recommend this spot! Thank you, Nicole! :-) Sending you many hugs from Switzerland!
