Marisa welcomed us at the apartment and gave us a map of the area and explained were the nearest supermarket etc was. The closest supermarket is just 2 minute away in the camping area but it is small and closed during the day (12-4pm), but there is a well equipped supermarket about 20 min walk away.
I thought I booked someone's actual apartment, not a "B&B" without the breakfast, so I was first a tad surprised when there was no spices etc in the kitchen, as with my previous AirBnB experiences, so we couldn't really take advantage of the decently equipped kitchen, as we only stayed for 4 nights wouldn't really make sense to go out and buy all these items needed to cook a nice meal. For the price it would have been nice if there was at least hand soap in the bathroom.
There is no soundproofing, could hear absolutely everything from the upstairs flat, including someone on the toilet... There were quite a few insects on the floor, lots of ants.
Double bed is actually two single beds with a mattress topper, so you can really feel the crack in the middle. However, the bed was really comfortable! Apartment was surprisingly quite cold at night, so the sheet provided (no duvet or blanket) wasn't really enough to keep us warm.
Wi-Fi is quite shoddy to be honest, connection kept being interrupted and sometimes wouldn't connect at all.
Location is great for Punta Sabbioni, 2 km to the beach and only 7 minute walk from the Vaporetto stop where they run every 30 minutes to San Marco during the day, once an hour later. The vaporetto ride takes only about 35 minutes, but to visit San Marco square for example with walking included, it will take you roughly 1 hour one way. If you are short on time, this might not be the best location for you. Great place for German speakers by the way, pretty much all the information in Punta Sabbioni is available both in Italian and German.
All in all we had a good stay, Marisa is a very warm host and readily available, with few improvements this place could be perfect. Wish you all the best!
