Living as a local in Amsterdam in a newly refurbished apartment by myself (located on the 3rd and 4th floor of the building. Studio floor with kitchen. Top floor: two bedrooms and bath room). The apartment is perfectly suitable for one person up to four persons. Wireless internet, CD, mp3, radio is available. Kitchen ware, bedding and towels will be supplied. Advices about where to go to and walk tips close by, will be ready in the apartment at arrival.
Maximum for 4 people could be possible. The sizes of the bed: The bed in master bedroom is 180 centimeters wide and 200 centimeters. The second bed is 110 centimeters wide and 200 centimeters long. The third bed 80 centimeters wide and 190 centimeters long. The second and third bed are located in the guest bedroom.
At the end of the street is a self service laundry. The costs for one wash is around €4 plus some extra for the dryer.
Just a note if you are not a climbing type: In most of the old houses of Amsterdam the stairs are steep, also in this apartment. As the apartment is on the third floor, it can be a perfect way to stay fit, or it can be a big hassle for you. It's just how you want to experience it :-).
Right after you book, you will receive a mail, with an explanation how to get to the apartment, where we will meet upon arrival. After your booking you can reach me by (website hidden), e-mail or telephone. Once we are in the apartment, I will tell you more about Amsterdam and show you the places you can go to.

Very nice contact and extremely beautiful, quiet apartment! We really felt at home and had a fantastic time in Amsterdam!!! Very tasty furniture and a wonderful living room with beautiful open kitchen. Good for cooking with friends and enjoying an evening on the spaceous table or to relax in one of the wind seats with a peaceful view on the water! :) We would love to come back!
Wouter's home is the friendliest place to stay in Amsterdam. The location was amazing! We regret that we couldn't meet him, but he left us in company of a friend that showed us the apartment and gave us some great advice. All and all the best experience we had in our trip through Europe! Thanks Wouter!
Die Tage in Amsterdam waren ganz wunderbar, mit der Unterkunft waren wir sehr happy. Wir hatten alles was man braucht...
The place is very cosy and clean and has a great location in a quiet neighborhood not far from the center. Another great thing about the place is two bicycles which help you to discover the city the best possible way.
Cheers to the owners - thanks for your hospitality and helpfulness! We'd happily stay at your place once again.
Unfortunately I was unable to meet Wouter during my stay at his lovely apartment in Amsterdam but the whole process still went smoothly. The apartment is great and was very clean upon arrival. I stayed with my cousin in August and we just loved it! The stairs are very steep as mentioned and with two large suitcases it was a challenge climbing them but it was certainly worth it! The location, at first, was a little hard to find but after a day we were easily able to walk from "downtown" in just 15 minutes. We were hoping to use the bikes in the apartment as advertised but they were out of order (the only downside of the trip). Fortunately, Amsterdam has more than enough bikes for rent throughout the city. Definitely would recommend staying here if you are in Amsterdam- I know I certainly will again!
This place was FANTASTIC. Best Airbnb experience I've ever had. Great location, easy to get everywhere. Lots of sunlight, totally spotless, lots of space...fresh towels, felt like a hotel. Would definitely stay again. And cheers to Kassimou too!
Super schöne Wohnung! Vielen Dank! Ich hab es genossen mit einer Tasse Kaffee auf der Fenster-Bank zu sitzen. Gute An- und Abreise. Ideal für die Reise mit dem Auto. Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten an der Strasse.
My wife and I spent 3 days in the flat at the end of June. A few things I should mention:
1. The flat is quite a walk from the centre however the bikes provided help getting around
2. Others mentioned the very steep stairs. I would have to concur so please be aware of that. There are 3 separate sets of steep stairs.
3. We had trouble with mosquitoes while sleeping. Maybe that is something to be expected close to water however it was quite bothersome.
4. Someone else mentioned the internet service that was available only on the primary floor and not very strong at all. If you plan on (website hidden)ing, good luck. I would assume that these days it is not too much trouble to provide a decent connection.
5. Last but not least, the pictures posted provide a boutique hotel feel (at least for us) which is one of the reasons we choose this place. Unfortunately it is just a 1 bedroom flat with what looks to be like handmade furniture. Not a bad thing just not what we thought we were getting.
The bottom line: Good basic accommodation in Amsterdam. If you are looking for something more special, I would look somewhere else.
Wouter's apartment is stylish and comfortable, and located in a quiet area of Amsterdam close to the central city and Jordaan districts. The apartment is convenient to public transport and well insulated from the seedier parts of Amsterdam. Wouter's friend Pieter met us promptly and was very easy to deal with. Just a couple of notes: the stairs are very steep so might not be suitable for older travellers or young children. The apartment also comes with 2 bicycles - these would be great way to explore the city, although my wife wasn't tall enough to ride them!
Thank you, we enjoyed being in Amsterdam and at your appartement !
