One of the largest air-conditioned, 2 bedroom houses at the luxury Seaglass Village. Our cottage is located at the end of a quiet cul de sac, a short walk to the pools, hot tub, clubhouse, gym, and tennis court.
We offer parking for 2 cars, a gas grill, in-unit washer and dryer, cable, wifi, desks, and a dining room table for 6 people.
Beach and bath towels, pool noodles, and toiletries provided. We also offer a golf cart for free - which many other places charge an extra $400/week to use.
The space
Although one definition of a cottage is "a small, simple house" our house is anything but small and simple.
We've outfitted this 850+ square foot house down to every last detail. Within Seaglass Village, this house style has some of the largest spaces: a 12x13 sunroom and a 24x13 kitchen and dining area.
The sunroom has 13 foot cathedral ceilings, and the kitchen/dining room has 10 foot ceilings. The house has central air and every room has ceiling fans (two features many cottages at Seaglass Village do not have).
I would bet we have one of the most well-appointed kitchens you'll ever find in any rental property, with granite counter tops, a large island with two bar stools, high end Calphalon cookware, and every tool you could imagine (garlic press, cheese graters, storage containers, SodaStream seltzer maker, Keurig coffee maker, Kitchen Aid food processor, InstantPot, and crockpot). Of course, you'll also find a microwave, dishwasher and toaster. And if you like to grill, we have a Weber gas grill you can use just outside the front door.
The open dining room has a table with seating for 6 people, two accent chairs, and tons of windows.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, desk with computer monitor (that also acts as a Roku TV), 2 nightstands, dresser, and a large closet.
The guest bedroom has a queen size bed, 2 nightstands, dresser, television, desk, and a large closet.
The sunroom/living room has a new (2025) sleeper sofa (with queen mattress), a love seat, storage ottoman with removable tray, 2 end tables, TV stand (filled with board games) and a 55 inch TV with standard apps (Netflix, Hulu, HBOMax, Amazon Prime, etc...).
The large bathroom has a bathtub with shower, bidet(!!!), a large mirror, and blow dryer. We also provide toiletries, tissue, and toilet paper. And the house comes with its own washer, dryer, ironing board, and iron.
We've tried to think of everything you might want to make the house as functional as possible, with ample surge protectors and extension cords on both sides of each bed, numerous hooks in each bedroom for hanging towels, an alarm clock with USB ports, and keyless entry so you don't have to worry about carrying keys to the pool or getting locked out.
As nice and comfortable as the house is, you'll also want to take advantage of the amenities! A short 5 minute walk will bring you to the luxurious adults-only club house. Here you'll find a large heated pool (typically Memorial Day through September), a donut-shaped resistance pool, hot tub, large sundeck with chairs/beds, tables, and umbrellas, grill, shuffleboard, putting green, bocce, gym with showers, indoor resistance/lap pool, library, and even a bar (on weekends) so you can enjoy drinks by the poolside. In the summer, the property has events and activities you can participate in, too.
Within a 2 minute walk of the house is the tennis court (we have racquets and balls for your use in the guestroom closet).
At one end of the resort you'll find a family pool (with bathrooms and showers) and fire pit. This pool, open to all ages, is about a 15-20 minute walk away, but has parking if you bring your car (it's typically open Memorial Day to mid/late-September). You can also use our FREE golf cart to get around the property (something many other owners charge extra for). At the other end of the resort are pickle ball courts (paddles and balls are available at the court).
While staying here you won't want to skip exploring the expansive beaches of Wells and Ogunquit. The property's gate is one mile to the ocean and less than two miles to downtown Ogunquit's shops, galleries, and nightlife.
Some local attractions include Drakes Island, Rachel Carson National Wildlife Preserve, Wells Reserve at Laudholm, Perkin's Cove, Oqunquit Playhouse, Kennebunk, and Kennebunkport. Just outside the property gates you'll find a mini-golf course, go-karts, ice cream shop, post-office, and restaurant.
Guest access
You are allowed to bring 2 cars to the property and can park them in our designated driveway in front of the cottage. We also provide a golf cart that you can use to get to the pools, tennis courts, and club house.
Other things to note
The Seaglass Village community hosts numerous events throughout the summer, including musicians playing by the pool, barbecues, theme parties (Halloween is a big one), and even movie night in the pool (previous films include Jaws and Rocky Horry Picture Show).
Otherwise, you can just as easily keep to yourself and enjoy the peace and quiet of a cottage in the woods.
