Wonderful Experience! Highly recommmend! Location was fabulous, place was comfortable size for our family of four (two children under 7). Had all the amenities one would desire. Getting to and into the apartment was a breeze, and Philippe was a wonderful host, and Isabella was wonderful too!
Excellent experience. The apartment has a great location, is very nice, large, comfortable and inviting and so is the host. There is an elevator but note that there is still 1 set of about 15 stairs that cannot be avoided. Recommended!
We were met late at night by Philippe's friend who not only assisted with our luggage but parked our car for us (thankfully as we would never have got into the tight spot he managed). This was after us arriving several hours after we had planned (due to car hire issues)
The apartment is very big by Paris standards and is pretty much perfect location. Very close to St Paul train station and a short work to the small islands and Notre Dame.
The apartment is very modern and all new appliances. There is wardrobe to use and washing machine / dryer.
We didn't spend too much time in apartment as so many places to see in Paris we wanted to venture out as much as possible but when we did return it was like returning home.
Couldn't recommend this apartment and service provided by Philippe enough.
He provided a list of places to visit and suggestions on what to do.
There is a great bakery just across the road along with an italian restaurant. We had our favourite meal in Paris just a short walk from Chez Mademoiselle we highly recommend visiting this place for a special meal in Paris.
Recommend staying in this apartment - well worth the price.
We were greeted by Rose-Marie who kindly showed us all the amenities and guided us to Philippe's handwritten booklets illustrated with detailed photos to help us with his beautifully appointed kitchen, television, wifi, etc. The apartment is sparkling clean and we enjoyed using the kitchen each morning to make a good breakfast before heading out. Great water pressure, plenty of towels, attractive modern furnishings. The apartment has plenty of ventilation and bright windows overlooking a narrow street with a couple of wonderful bakeries and a pizza restaurant. Occasionally there would be some noise in the morning as the restaurants would set up for the day; we would just close the windows to make it very quiet again. There is a lift until the last steps to the apartment. The bedding was comfortable and Philippe has provided plenty of storage space and extra bedding if needed. The washer/dryer worked well; it was so nice to be able to do laundry while we were there. We were pleased to see the bus stop just steps from the apartment as well as two metro stations about two and six blocks away. There are many great restaurants close by and Philippe has written another booklet with many suggestions including detailed maps. We also found a great falafel place near by and returned there a few times during our visit. Finally there are a couple of food markets nearby. It is all very convenient. When we had a question during our stay, Philippe responded quickly by email. Thank you!
Philippe was very friendly and left us with great instructions to get to his apartment. We chose it for its proximity to metro line 1 and its proximity to the great shops and sights in Le Marais.
There are stairs to the apartment and an elevator for most of the way. A cute little courtyard, very friendly apartment manager. We had trouble with one of our suitcases and he let us borrow a pair of pliers.
There is noise during the day, which is to be expected since the apartment is right off a major artery. It adds to the charm. At night, it's peaceful and quiet.
We were a group of four women and felt very comfortable there (we're all very short). Nice furniture, very clean, tidy, uncluttered. It was really thoughtful to provide power converters, hair dryer and towels for each of us. There were also pamphlets and guides to Paris and booklets for how things worked in the apartment and local restaurant recommendations.
The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom has a great rain head shower.
Wifi was so nice to have.
A great place!
We had a wonderful time in Philippe's comfortable and amazingly well-located apartment. We loved being steps from the heart of the Marais, and we couldn't believe how close we were to so many great restaurants and sights. If anything, the apartment is a little larger than it appears in the photos, and the photos don't do justice to the rooftop views and breezes the windows afford. Everything was very convenient, from the the appliances to the wifi. Thanks also to Jean Luc and Fannie for meeting us upon our arrival and departure.
