  • D's place in Chicago is in the Museum Park area of downtown, in the Field Museum/Soldier Field area. A view from the apartment looks at both of these landmarks. Each morning I would walk to the lake and enjoy the beautiful walk. One day I Rented the "Blue Bike" and rode around the city exploring the public art, lake, parks and shopping. I was in Chicago for business, both in town and at the McCormick Center, all within walking distance. I shared D's lovely apartment with another woman visiting the McCormick Center. The apartment is more beautiful than the photos, very nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and designed. D' was out of town during my visit, and her friend Roscoe picked me up at the Roosevelt CTA stop and delivered me at the apartment. My stay was easy, enjoyable and fun. Definitely a return. Thanks Di.

  • I was attending a meeting at McCormick Place and found this fanstasic apartment within walking distance. D' was great communicating all details to me. Roscoe was great during check-in allowing for delays in my arrival flight. In my case I had the apartment to myself for 5-days so it worked out really well. The gym facilities and the supermarket downstairs were perfect. This is a great location. Happy to recommend D' and her apartment.

  • We had a terrific stay with D. The accommodation came as presented, and D was very helpful in organizing access, given a late night check-in which resulted from a three hour delay in our plane arriving in Chicago. D was very helpful and encouraged us to call her if we needed anything. In short she was helpful and accessible. Very convenient location, and we appreciated the private bathroom.

  • I had the pleasure of staying in D's luxury suite while attending a conference at McCormick Place convention center. The room was very private and cozy with a luxury master bath and nice view. D is an exceptionally friendly hostess and truly appreciates being able to share her beautiful city with out-of-town guests. Within her condo are several rooms of which the Luxury Suite is the most private. All guests will have access to the kitchen and interactions among the guests are easy going as many are world travelers. The location couldn't be beat. I enjoyed walking the length of Michigan Ave and easily used the busline at the end of a long day. There are many bistros within the luxury condo neighborhood for a casual, refreshing breakfast/brunch or easy dinner.
I would urge all who are interested to consider staying here as I had a wonderful time that was far more comfortable, friendly and economical than any nearby hotel.

  • WOW!

I am so excited to be D's first review. I recently booked my parents a weekend stay in Chicago with D. I myself have stayed in bed and breakfasts all over the world and know how to appreciate even the less fortunate of situations. My parents on the other had never stayed in someone else's home during a vacation and have total affinity towards hotels. Well, D's hospitality completely changed the way my parents plan to travel in the future.

D offers a beautifully decorated home with more than ample space. The apartment includes all the condo finishings and luxuries one could expect from a downtown Chicago lakeside high rise.

    - Large bedroom with lavish private bathroom. (Could very well be a master bedroom) Bedroom included storage space, HUGE flatscreen TV, comfortable bed and linnens. She even topped off the pillows with bags of Chicago's famous Garrets's popcorn. WHAT A TREAT!

    - Outdoor patio with perfect views of the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium and Soldier Field. Sunny living room and TV area.

    - Although the property exceeded our expectations the real pleasure of this whole trip was our host, D! From the moment we met D, we felt like we were in company of an old friend. Her energy and charisma is immediately palpable. She gaves us a thorough tour of not only the apartment but the building itself. She was always interested in knowing how our trip was going and was completely engaged as a host.

Our Hats off to D. Anyone visiting Chicago should definitely consider a stay at this amazing location. You wont find another spot this beautiful and close to all that downtown Chicago has to offer, all the while boasting such a sweet and hospitable host.

I’m an entrepreneur and lover of food and travel. I am always looking for life’s next great adventure. I came to Chicago about 7 years ago and love it. It offers everything I enjoy- Theater, music, shopping, great food, people and a great laugh. I recently begin teaching at one of the local colleges and have a true appreciation for the students’ tech savvyness, brilliance and optimism. I joined Airbnb to be apart of someone’s 1st stay in Chicago, relaxing vacation or here working to hopefully help them build an experience that exceeds their expectations. Thanks for checking out my profile and hopefully I’ll get to meet you soon!
