Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
Magical 3-bedroom, 2-bath log cabin retreat on 9 secluded acres that actually BORDERS Big South Fork National Park. Direct access to horse/hiking trails...we also border trailhead! Equestrian Heaven, PET-FRIENDLY (2 pups max). Our spacious, well-lit, FREE 8-stall redwood barn/tack room plus large paddock are steps away from trailhead in sought-after, gated Wilderness Resorts. Close to Station Camp, Bandy Creek trails and 20 miles from Brimstone. Wifi, large-screen TV & games/books for downtime!

The space
Grouse Ridge Cabin is furbaby-friendly (2-dog max, plus space for an entire herd of horses with large, 8-stall barn and adjoining holding pen), as long as guests kindly keep pets off beds/bed pillows. We have a cozy, front-yard fire pit with log seating, indoor wood stove, charcoal grill, an immense screened-in back patio and dining area with sink, a large, flat-screen TV with Roku firestick, board games for kiddos, books and other personal touches. Our property line borders the Station Camp trailhead just past our barn that leads to a network of hundreds of thousands of acres of breathtaking hikable, mountain-bikeable and horseback-ridable trails in the Big South Fork National River & Recreation area.

Guest access
The entire 9-acre property of Grouse Ridge is for guest use. Plenty of free parking on site to accommodate multiple large vehicles with horse or ATV trailers. The cabin is our home away from home--with a fully stocked kitchen, toaster, coffee station with French press, drip coffee and tea, Kuerig and pods, Mr. Coffee maker, crock-pot, washer/dryer unit, old-fashioned wood stove, large-screen TV with Roku firestick, games, books, outdoor fire pit, charcoal grill and BBQ supplies, plenty of towels/linens, immense screened-in back porch/dining area--and we hope you feel the same.

Other things to note
Please place all opened non-perishables, unless sealed, inside fridge! BBQ grill stored under house. MUST return after use...area bears have damaged unattended grills. Also, if using wood stove, PLEASE don't leave burning embers alone! Refer to instruction manual on table. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking meals with plenty of breakfast items, condiments, dressings, pasta, pasta sauce, cooking oil, butter, sugar, flour and spices as well as utensils, pots/pans, salad bowls, baking pans and even a crock-pot for feeding a crowd (located inside supply closet under stairs).

All pets, whether furred or feathered, welcome! We have a two-dog MAXIMUM policy, but are flexible under certain circumstances. All manner of livestock welcome in barn, and no pet deposits required!

Cell service can be spotty, depending on network. A green hard-line phone is installed in living room in case of network interruption.

Downstairs bathroom is a full but please note the shower head is hand-held, positioned lower to ground for bathing children.

Last but not necessarily least...PLEASE do not flush anything down toilets except TP...and if leaving cabin for the day or checking out, PLEASE be mindful to conserve electricity. Check-out rules include turning off all lights/fans/TV/etc., closing/locking windows and turning thermostat off. Many thanks!!

Love sharing spaces special to us with travelers who want to feel like their Airbnb is a home away from home. We have two beautiful daughters in their early 20s; one who lives in Knoxville, TN, the other in Venice Beach, California. We'll explore far-flung places like Croatia and Peru in a heartbeat, but dig domestic travel to areas like Asheville, N.C. or Mendecino, CA just as much. Welcome!
