A great place to stay in a great town! Gary and Mary Jo are great hosts. Answered all our questions and gave great recommendations on restaurants and the best way to get to them. The home has everything you could need and more! We had a great time and hope to stay again next time we visit the area!
Gary met us in the drive with the keys to the house when we arrived. As always, there was a bottle of wine with two wine glasses awaiting us in the kitchen.
The house was clean and neat. The A/C kept us cool during the hot July week.
Our second visit to McKinney and Gary & Mary Jo's, we had such a great time! We always feel welcomed at their place, and the bungalow has everything you might need. Everything is close by, from shopping to eating, and it's a very nice neighborhood. Thanks again, hope to see you again soon!
Mary Jo and Gary are the perfect hosts. And the bungalow is very comfortable. We consider it "Our home away from Mexico", and we stay there twice a year.
This was our second stay in this charming little house. Gary and Mary Jo welcomed us as we drove up. The house was as before, clean and comfy.
We like that the house is set back from the street and has its own parking space. Appliances, dishes and cooking utensils allow one to cook easily. Walking distance to the square allows one to eat out easily.
The Cottage was perfect. Gary and Mary Jo made sure we had everything we needed and were genuinely concerned about our comfort.
We were very pleased and enjoyed our two week stay.
We feel blessed that we found this home away from home.
The location was so convenient to downtown McKinney and we would recommend it with out hesitation.
About the Host, Gary & Mary Jo
We enjoy hosting guests in our fully updated 1920's arts & craft-style bungalow. Always enchanted with the historic district, we decided to move to the area after our children were "out of the nest." It is a beautiful neighborhood of older homes and large trees.
We enjoy the easy and short walk to McKinney's historic downtown square to dine in the many restaurants and shop at the unique stores. And we always invite friends and guests to relax on the large front porch of our main house. We can also recommend restaurants, sights, shopping and entertainment in McKinney and the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
Please consider a stay at our guest cottage; you won't be disappointed!
