The Cider Shed is named for our love of home brewing cider from locally harvested crabapples! This is a brand new, modern, clean, spacious and bright, 280sqft tiny house within a 20 min drive from Anchorage. Your own fenced in yard, private entrance and deck with views of the mountains and occasional Aurora sightings. Conveniently located near downtown Eagle River where you can experience amazing local breweries and restaurants. Hiking trails, and mountain views within minutes!

The space
Guests have access to entire Tiny house space with private entrance, deck and fenced in yard with propane firepit area.

Tiny house is equipped with many amazing amenities of a large home but cleverly designed for this small space. In floor heating keeps the place warm and cozy in the cold winter months and multiple windows and ceiling fan keep things cool in Summer. Light and bright, this place is designed minimally to keep things feeling open and fresh.

Fridge, sink and stove are as functional as a standard set up and have a large convection microwave and ventless washer/ dryer in the unit make it feel like home. Fully equipped kitchen with all the tools you need to prepare a simple or gourmet meal at home. We provide coffee, and an assortment of other hot drink options, spices, olive oil and a even a few “grab n go” snacks make meals easy, in or out of the tiny house.

Smart TV with its own Netflix account and power recline couch makes for a comfortable wind down after a long day exploring our beautiful state.

Spacious modern tile bathroom with rain shower head and comfy bed will have you feeling like a spa weekend away but with so much thoughtfully built in storage, you can have the comfort of home on longer stays to unpack and settle in, avoiding the “living out of a suitcase” feeling. We provide a single individual size shampoo, conditioner and bar soap for the unit for convenience.

Outdoor space is all yours and fenced in from the moose, bears and treated in the summer to keep the flying, biting bugs at bay. Enjoy the comfort of the Alaska outdoors without the need for bug spray, around a fire pit and the view of mountains in the distance.

Anchorage, Alaska, United States

Quiet neighborhood with amazing mountain views and occasional glimpse of the Aurora Borealis. Safeway, Walmart and Fred Meyer only minutes away and so many local restaurants to choose from, check out our guidebook for our favorites! Please keep in mind, you are tucked away in a residential neighborhood and may have some noise from neighbors though, typically very quiet.

During your stay

We live on property/ in main house, available if needed.
We frequent our side of the outdoor spaces and will wave a hello but don’t won’t intrude on your space. Our 2 med sized dogs can be vocal and, if out in the yard, typically bark a few times to greet you before running off to play again and may come up to the fence to give you a sniff. They are very friendly and we work very hard to train them to have good manners in the yard and on the trails.
