House - Private room · Heights of Woodside, Inverness, IV2 5TH, United Kingdom

The Space

A comfortable bedroom in a luxury family home set in 1 acre garden and with ample parking. The bedroom comprises a double bed, en suite facilities and tea / coffee facilities. Free WiFi is included.

Guest Access

Breakfast is served in the dining room (see photo) and guests can have access to the kitchen by prior arrangement. Access is also available to the garden and outside decking area, Scottish weather permitting of course!

We can also provide access to a large washing machine and tumble dryer for a small additional fee.

Interaction with Guests

We live in the house and we will be here to welcome you. We are happy to interact as much or as little as the guests wish. We have sat for hours with some guests chatting away but we also understand that some guests like their privacy and we respect that also.

The Neighborhood

Our house is accessible from the road (B9006) to Culloden Battlefield and the street backs on to adjacent farm land. There are stunning views to the North across the city, the Kessock Bridge and the mountains beyond.

Getting around

There is good access to public transport with a regular bus service to Inverness city centre which has an extensive choice of restaurants and shops. The bus stop is a 3/4 minute walk from our house. There is a large convenience store and food takeaway / chip shop nearby and a large supermarket 3 miles away, en route toi the city centre. Culloden Moor Inn and Restaurant, the Battlefield and the Visitor Centre are less than 5 mins away by car.

Other Things to Note

We have a small lovable Shi Tzu dog and a Birman cat. They do not have access to guest bedrooms.

  • We couldn't have had a better host in Inverness, Margaret welcomed us with delicious Easter chocolate eggs !! How thoughtful! Very comfy bedroom, super clean, warm family atmosphere, nice breakfast for all tastes (ham, cheese, smoked slamon, juices, cerals, bread, croissants!!!). I strongly recommend Margaret's place if your ways lead you to Inverness. A big Thank you

  • I had a lovely two-night stay in Margaret's beautiful home. Superbly clean and tidy, a very comfortable bed and lovely shower, a huge and well-equipped kitchen, great breakfast, and the kindest and most welcoming hosts in Scotland!

  • I had a wonderful time at Margaret’s and Calum’s Fasgadh. They are very warm, kind and caring people. I felt at home in their home. Margaret picked me up from the airport and on our way she took me to a nearby stable as she knew I had fallen in love with horses. When we reached her Fasgadh she welcomed me with a delicious sandwich and a cup of tea. After exploring breathtaking Scotland it was a pleasure to relax in a cosy double room with en suite which was a luxury indeed. Another superb place to unwind is the bathroom upstairs... I could write on and on but the best thing is to experience it by yourself as well as Margaret’s and Calum’s hospitality.

  • We can only agree with previous statements: Margaret is the perfect host! The room is lovely, everything was perfect (and spotless). Margaret and her husband were also very helpful with restaurant suggestions or letting us use their phone to have a flat tire fixed. The perfect Airbnb stay!

  • My husband and I stayed with Margaret and Calum for 2 nights in September and would highly recommend! Everything was wonderful. The location is just a few minutes from Inverness in a beautiful area with astonishing views. Margaret's home is large and lovely. Our room was just as pictured - and very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was abundant, healthy and a welcome luxury. The other guests were lively conversationalists, making breakfast a relaxing and fun part of our day. Margaret is a perfect host - warm and kind and thoughtful. We would love to return as we really fell in love with Inverness and can't wait to spend more time in Scotland.

  • We had a great week in the beautiful house of Margret and Culum (very nice and friendly people) with a wonderful view to Inverness. Their house is decorated in the best of taste, super-clean, comfortable, with a luxury bathroom. Margret made us feel at home, not to forget her very delicious breakfast. We highly recommand this house to everybody and are sure to come back one day.

  • This is a beautiful new house, the bedroom is absolutely perfect! Very nicely decorated, super-clean, a beautiful bathroom. But more important Margaret is a wonderful host. She makes you feel at home. Her husband and she liked to chat and drank tea with us. Nothing we asked was too much. Margaret and Calum are lovely people! We highly recommend this B&B to everyone.
