Interaction with Guests
We live in the house and we will be here to welcome you. We are happy to interact as much or as little as you wish. We have sat for hours with some guests chatting away but we also understand that some guests like their privacy and we respect that also.
Our house is accessible from the road (B9006) to Culloden Battlefield and the street backs on to adjacent farm land. There are stunning views to the North across the city, the Kessock Bridge and the mountains beyond.
There is good access to public transport with a regular bus service to Inverness city centre which has an extensive choice of restaurants and shops. The bus stop is a 3/4 minute walk from our house. There is a large convenience store and food takeaway / chip shop nearby and a large supermarket 3 miles away, en route to the city centre. Culloden Moor Inn and Restaurant, the Battlefield and the Visitor Centre are less than 5 mins away by car.
Other Things to Note
We have a small lovable Shi Tzu dog and a Birman cat. They do not have access to guest bedrooms.
If you have specific questions, please feel to ask at any time.
None, other than to please treat our house as you would treat your own.

Staying at Margaret's B&B was a great experience. A perfect location to rest and relax. 5 stars!
It's incredibly hard to describe my stay in Margaret's house. It couldn't be any better.
First of all, Margaret and Calum are maybe the kindest couple I've ever met and wonderful hosts. They will make Inverness feels like your home. They are very open for conversations, and would help you with any informations about the city. It was also lovely to talk with them about their country and its culture.
The house is beautiful. You'll have plenty of space and it's really comfortable and clean. It was winter when I was there, so I can say it is very warm too. It's located in a very good neighborhood. Also, it's quite close to a bus stop where you can get a bus to the city centre and it won't take long.
Last but not least, the breakfast. What a wonderful experience! Margaret is 100% dedicated to make it the best breakfast you can have in your trip. And it will. I spent days after that trip wishing I could have that again! haha
If you're visiting the Highlands, no need to think twice about accomodation. Stay with Margaret and Calum.
I cannot recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough. Margaret is a natural host, the rooms and her home are immaculate. We had a delicious breakfast every morning including smoked salmon!! Yum!! The location is great - close to Inverness and Loch Ness and easy access from the airport.
Our stay at Margaret's place was nice! It was warm, big, clean and most important, Margaret was very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was great, especially the porridge! It's a beautiful surrounding with some nice things to do.
This was beyond a 5 Star stay, Margaret and Callum were the best host’s I've ever had. I cannot recommend this house enough, I received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival and when I had to leave I was a bit sad! They really treated me like one of their members of their family. The facilities are excellent, my room was beautiful, clean and well equipped; I could not ask for anything more! The breakfast Margaret supplied was awesome and always set me up for the day; being there for the Marathon was the best choice I could have made, and I'm sure contributed to my time.
I would go back here in a heartbeat, and when I do; I will be sure to use the services this amazing host provides! Truly 5 stars :)

I am Margaret and I am renting out a few rooms I have available in my property in Inverness, Scotland. We have named our house Fasgadh, which is Gaelic for haven or shelter (my husband Calum and I are both native Gaelic speakers) and we strive to provide a safe and comfortable haven for all of our guests.
We look forward to welcoming you to Fasgadh!
