Interaction with Guests
You should expect to feel welcome and free to relax from the moment that you arrive-This is my home and I will be present during your stay, so please feel able to ask me for any help or advice that you might need in getting to know London.
My area is an up and coming bohemian suburb with great transport links to the centre of town, one of the best features of London is that every area has its own feel and lots to offer-Here in southeast London you are never far from a park, a cosy pub, coffee shops or the local markets- There is a strong community feeling and I always feel safe walk from my home to the station or around the area at night, I can recommend several bars and restaurants in walking distance if you feel to stay local. We are close to Brixton if you are looking for live music, bars and a diverse multi cultural night life. Victoria 20 mins by public transport ( for Buckingham Palace) and connections to the west end for shopping etc. London bridge 20 mins by public transport ( for Borough market, Shakespeares Globe and the Tate Gallery) The Southbank, The National Theatre, The London Eye etc.
Situated in a quite residential street, there is free on street parking available. We are 5 mins walk to Gipsy Hill station, we are in zone 3. 3 stops to Balham for your connection to the Northern line if you feel to travel by tube, or 20 mins directly into Victoria or London Bridge stations.
London is a cluster of small towns and villages making up one city, every area has its own feel and reasons to visit.
Here is a link to the tube map, its 10 mins from here to Balham or twenty mins from here to Victoria/ London Bridge and you can calculate tube journeys from there at 2 mins per stop.

I have one cat Billy, he is very cool, quite a character. If you respect him, he will return the compliment.
Our stay at Lorraines flat has been great, she has been an excellent host, made us feel at home. The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet, and her flat is just a few minutes away from the train station, you can get to Central London in about 30 minutes. Our room was cleen and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Billy (the cat) is very friendly. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thank you, Lorraine!
This was a great stay. A very quiet, comfy and clean room in a lovely flat, excellently situated within a stone's throw of Gipsy Hill station. Many thanks to Lorraine for making me feel so welcome.
The Flat is quite clean & the transportation is also convenient to go to city centre. The WIFI is wonderful so I can plan my trip to visit London in home.
Kuma left a note in your room that was so sweet I wanted to share it
"Thank you very much for your entertainment, hope we didnt bother your life. We really like the bed that everyday we sink into dream and lovely cat, he is so nice.
You are so kind to us, we have a good time here. Although we have to leave its time to say goodbye hope your cough will be better soon.

It was a pleasure to host you both.
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Staying with Lorraine was a wonderful experience. The entire process, from viewing her profile to receiving her personal call that we were welcomed, was done in half hour. She is a very talented and sweet person and I will always cherish our chat over a cup of tea.
Though we had our luggage and bed in the TP tent, we had our personal shelf in the fridge and cupboard. The house is impressively well-kept may it be the washroom, kitchen or the living lounge. Lorraine generously let us go through her DVD collection and my husband and I really enjoyed one late night movie in her comfortable living lounge. The cat was a real pleasure and one could play with him for hours.
Just 3 min walk from the train station, this "comfortable, clean and friendly' place lives true to its name. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to stay in London and intends to enjoy every bit of it.
Lorraine replied within five minutes! Excellent!
We came a strangers and we left as very good friends.
Lorraine is a warm and open hearted person who we loved from the first moment.
We stayed in her teepee tent in her garden which she showed in one of her pictures on her listing.
And we were very impressed how nicely she had prepared and arranged it.
The tent had been layed out with beautiful blankets and big pillows and had a very comfortable double bed air mattress. It almost looked like in the fairy tale of Alladin.
She supplied us with a lot of blankets for the bed, thus we were comfortably warm even in September.
Although we rented the teepee we could use her apartment freely. We had our own space in the bathroom and in the fridge, even an own little storage cupboard.
Beyond everything being so beautiful we were most impressed by her warm personality! So we would definitely recommend staying in her place!
We stayed for one week at lorrainse room and it was a pleasure!
It was tidy, clean and everytime fun.
It's really nice to get up and you feel free to do what you like.
Billy the cat is always nice and do its own things.
The garden is comfortable and inviting.
We would recommend it to anyone. Also ourselves would like to stay there again.

Hi happy to meet new people and to welcome you to my home - Love to travel, garden, read- I am a fairly relaxed host i will treat you the way that i like to be treated, open, warm available but respectful of your personal space. I have lived in London for over 30 years now and have done my fair share of exploring, so if you need any help or advice on what can be seen or where to find something I can pretty much usually come up with a few good suggestions - I'd like you to leave feeling like you have made a new friend and fallen in love a little with this wonderful city.
