City view

Guests say the views are lovely.
Location, location, location! This historic carriage house is an incredible find for discriminating solo travelers, friends or families to conveniently access the best parts of Cincinnati and Northern Ky! From this rare, quiet, brick paved dead-end street in the heart of Covington you can walk to both Mainstrasse Village (Main st.) and Madison Ave. restaurants, bars and shops. With views of downtown Cincinnati, it is immediately across the river from all stadiums and riverfront activities.

The space
You'll have the entire upstairs unit of this historic house to yourself, which includes the second and third floors of the house (please note both interior staircases are steep and narrow due to this being a historic home). It's been completely updated and renovated with exposed original rafters. You have your own private 2nd story deck with outdoor seating and view of downtown Cincinnati. There is an exterior modern-size staircase to the deck that can also be used to access the unit. Key-less entry, WiFi, and Smart TV. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Off-street parking spot behind the home is dedicated to guests. Potty-trained pets are allowed, however a short walk will be needed to access areas suitable for relieving themselves. The first floor of this home is rented out to a permanent tenant and has its own separate entry.

Guest access
Within the unit guests can access all the rooms photographed and the upstairs back patio area. The downstairs/first floor is a separate unit in which a permanent resident lives. However they have a separate entry and back patio so there are no shared spaces. There is off-street parking allocated for Air BnB guests.

Other things to note
The master bedroom is located on the 2nd floor, and the second bedroom is on the 3rd floor. Please note the interior stairs to second and third floors are narrow and steep as this is a historic home. This home may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues, children that are not confident on stairs or who is fearful of steep stairs. Please keep that in mind when considering who will sleep in each bedroom. Standard size stairs to the second floor are available outside via the back deck.

Pet owners: there is no immediate grass area around the house, so you'll need to take pets on a short walk to relieve themselves. Please keep pets off all furniture, beds and rugs or additional cleaning fees will be assessed.

The fireplaces pictured are inoperable. Please do not try to start a fire in them.

NO SMOKING of any kind, including vaping, is allowed inside the premise. Outside on the deck is fine.

Guests can easily unload at the front of the house, however no parking is allowed on the street. Parking is at the back of the house which is accessible to the house via a narrow stairway. There is ample free street parking at the end of the block should you not feel comfortable using the allotted parking.

Neighborhood highlights

This is a historic carriage house that originally belonged to the larger manor two doors to the east of the house. It was originally owned by a doctor, and this was the home for the caretakers for the horses and stables. The home directly to the east was built for the doctor's son. The street on which it sits still maintains the original brick cobblestone paving from when these homes were first built in the late 1800s. It's a safe, quiet street. There are pedestrians walking by from time to time. Mainstrasse village, the historic German downtown, is only two blocks away, with Goebel park and it's storytelling clock-tower only an 8 min. walk away.
