The villa has this great colonial style. Lots of light coming in, and nice balance between luxury but still feeling that you are in Bali. The location is great, near the beach and the center, yet not too touristic and charming.

The space

Set in sunny tropical gardens, family friendly, the villa offers a colonial style, with a private outdoor pool. Only a 2 minutes stroll to the sandy shores of Sanur and a 5 minutes walk to the center of Sanur. Breakfast is included and we are proud to say we have great staff, we love them, our guests love them!

This villa on 350 m2 offers three bedrooms. One master, one twin and an additional guest room with a kingsize bed, all accommodated with their own bathroom.
Bright and airy, the living area is furnished with elegance and taste. The dining area is overlooking the garden.
Fully equipped granite kitchen, large fridge, washing machine and all the accessories of a modern kitchen.

We have a great villa manager, she will keep the house clean and is there to assist in any way she can for weekdays and in the weekend on the mornings. She is a great asset for the villa. She knows a lot about what to do in Bali and is great with kids.
Housing a sun-terrace, the air-conditioned villa offers free Wi-Fi and one free parking space on site.

You will have the whole villa to yourself. Our villamanager will welcome you and work for you on agreed days/times. The villa has a private entrance.

We are happy to assist you in any way we can during your stay at our villa. We know the area very well and are enthusiastic in sharing our ideas of a great holiday with you!

The neighborhood is peaceful in a typical Balinese little street. So near to everything, yet you will really get a sense of the real Bali. You can easily walk to the beach and to the center of the village.

Airport pick up can be arranged upon request. We work with a very kind local driver that is happy to pick you up and bring you back to the airport. He is also available for daily tours.
During your stay taxi's are located around the corner of the street. In Bali it is also very easy just to hire a car with a driver that can show you around. Really very easy and convenient. However, it is also just lovely to go around this area by bicycle. Cycle along the beach, stop at a little warung for a lunch of for a coffee at a beach café.

We were lucky enough to live in Sanur for 5 years. Our 2 children grew up in this wonderful place and Sanur has never left our hearts.

Guest access

You will have the whole villa to yourself. Your own private swimming pool.

Other things to note

As you can read from the reviews, our villa is not just 'a villa'. The location, the setting, the style... as one guest wrote; she felt that in a previous life she must have lived in a Colonial Villa, she felt so much at home, it was a sign :-). Nofi, our villamanager is just great, she will make you feel welcome and help with what ever you need. She is great with kids as well. One more thing you may need to look at when you rent a villa in Bali; the outdoor life... It is beautiful and nice, but it is also very nice to be able to close the doors in the evening and actually cool off and escape the mosquitos. Our villa has an open feeling with big doors, but you will be able to close it all of during the evenings. Open living rooms as many villas in Bali have look nice but any kind of insect of reptile can drive you nuts :-).

Thank you for sharing your home, we had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer. The house was perfect, we enjoyed having the windows open and looking out onto the garden and pool. It was well located close to the beach yet secluded when we wanted to be private. Dayu was wonderful- she greeted us with cold tea, fresh fruit, a wonderful breakfast each morning, She helped answer questions and after hearing that one of us was gluten sensitive, she went out and bought gluten free flour and made lovely crepe pancakes as a treat. It was so thoughtful. The welcoming book with information and suggestions was very helpful. We visited several of the restaurants that you recommended. One suggestion is to make sure to take the address with you when going out. Even though we had it, we had difficulty with taxis taking us to another Colonial Villa . We think the confusion was because they used (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map and went to the other location even when we gave them the address- just a suggestion. Many thanks- we hope to visit again in the future

Absolutely wonderful in every way. HIGHLY recommend. We stayed the week of Christmas (4 adults, 2 teens) and the Villa was elegantly decorated with lights and ornaments - a lovely, welcoming gesture, thank you! Owner Sharon was enthusiastic and responsive throughout our stay; she also arranged transport from airport and helped us stock the fridge pre-arrival. Friendly Villa staff Nofi and Dayu were a joy and both took excellent care of us. Nofi was informative and capable and when our internet was cut by a violent, brief windstorm, she worked non-stop 'til it was repaired the very next day. Dayu's daily breakfasts were fantastic and her Indonesian feast, Nasi Tumpeng was a scrumptious work of art. The Villa is gorgeous, romantic, spacious, well-kept, tasteful, elegant, yet so comfortable. Plantation shutters, fans and A/C were all fully operational and much appreciated. Beds were all insanely comfy! On the days when we didn't want to leave the house, the excellent pool and the staff's care, there were plenty of take-out menus and even a nice selection of DVDs to add to the cable choices. Notes about the area: the Villa is located off the main drag in a residential area near the southernmost, least commercial end of Sanur beach which extends north and gets progressively busier. Though wonderfully quieter here, there are still plenty of restaurants, water sports, and massage options on the beach and you won't have to dodge crowds, trash, or fend off the more aggressive selling techniques encountered further north. Downside: there's no shopping on the beach. Taxi and/or car service is always available (and like everything else, super affordable) but it felt more like a 10min walk from Villa to beach and 20mins to heart of shopping and restaurants (esp. in the heat and w/ elders or people with mobility issues). The baby kelp forests off Sanur beach are worth snorkeling! We found colorful corals, huge sea stars and beautiful schools of fish among the more usual crabs, sea snails and hermit crabs.

Dear Regine, what a wonderful review! Thank you so much! Also a big thank you for your super-positive private feedback, really appreciated. Please allow me to add that the beach is 300 meters away, and the shops leading to the center start at the end of the alley of the villa (just for info for other readers). Thanks again for staying at the villa!

What an amazing trip! This villa is everything that you read on the reviews and more. We honestly couldn't have been happier. The pool and garden is gorgeous, the layout of the villa, great air conditioning in all bedroom and living areas plus block out blinds allowing for a great sleep in once or twice! Nofi and staff were so lovely, welcoming and helpful during our stay, pointing out some great places to eat and enjoy massages. They even walked us down to the beach and showed us around on our first day. Sharon was also great to deal with - very quick responses. We will definitely be back!!

What a stylish, thoughtfully appointed home. The attention to detail throughout, the top notch maintenance from the garden to the pool to the linens, and the wonderful service from Nofi and Dayu made the experience complete. Really exceptional home, setting, service and host you have with the Colonial Villa. Take all of Sharon's suggestions - which she generously will provide if you're interested; she has the taste and the experience having lived there. This was my third trip to Bali. All have been lovely, but this is an extra special place I'm already trying to figure out how I can return to before the end of the year. Book it - just not on my week.

This villa is superb - comfortable spaces, great layout, lovely pool. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen so we could cook our own food and the ceiling fans on the porch with seating is a plus. Also lots of places to hang wet towels - these small details add up! It's an easy walk to the beach and some shops but a taxi ride to the main part of town. we wanted to extend our stay. The staff, Nofi and Dayu, are also really nice and kept the place super clean and made us breakfast each morning. Highly recommend and hope we can make it back someday.

We had a great stay at the Colonial Villa. The house was beautiful and very comfortable and clean. Our two boys absolutely loved the pool. The gardens and yard are absolutely stunning. Nofi and Dayu were very helpful and made delicious breakfast everyday. Nofi showed us the way to the beach, gave us suggestions on what was nearby and arranged a driver for us for an afternoon. Sharon also had sent a very nice list of activities for us and the kids. We tried several of their suggestions and they were great. The beach is very close and easy to walk to. It is also very close to restaurants and shops. The neighbor hood is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend the Colonial Villa. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Had a wonderful time staying in the villa for 3 nights. We felt like royalty, the villa is beautiful and clean. Everybody was so nice to us, we had amazing breakfasts and dinners, specially cooked for us. Sharon was so helpful and always responded to my emails fast. She even gave me ideas for activities to do before our arrival. Short nice walk to the beautiful Sanur beach. My children and I didn't want to leave the villa, we will be staying there again if we ever go back to Bali.
