The house was clean, comfortable, and in good condition. Location is very convenient and close to everything but the neighborhood looks very sketchy. The one Inconvenient we had was not getting the process in advanced like the alarm code, how we were going to get the key, wifi info. Overall it was a good stay for the money we paid.
Tunde provided us very accurate information as to check in, internet passwords, etc. We had a group of 11 and we all fit! It was perfect. There is private parking in the back that worked very well for us. There are two metro stations, each a short walk away, and it is easy access for a cab/uber pick up. It was very nice for our large group!!
The listing is accurate. Neighborhood was reasonably good. There is nothing specific to worry about. Though one thing to keep in mind is that the house is not located in too busy a neighborhood which is actually good in a way. I did not meet the host at all. I got a call from him a couple of hours before check in time and he was not sure when we'll be able to check-in since the tenants who checked out before had trashed the home and he needed time to clean it up. So, we had to re-arrange our schedule and check-in late. There are 3 bed rooms upstairs and 1 bed room down at the basement. If you can, don't use the bed room at the basement since there is really no air circulation and I actually got sick because of lack of sleep in that room. There is one bathroom in the basement and another one upstairs. On both the days we were there, the hot water did not work in the bathroom shower upstairs. I obviously called and reported it to the host and he promised to get it fixed for the next day but that did not happen. You can only imagine 9 people using a single shower and planning a whole day out. One more thing, most of the airbnb places provide the basic amenities like toothpaste, soaps and shampoos. This place did not have any of it and you are on your own to figure it out.
Tunde Sunny played the role of a good host. His house was clean and orderly. My friends and I really had a great time staying at his place. The location of the house was nice, as there was easy access to two metro stations and a bus terminal at walking distance. We did not have any problems with the neighborhood. If it was too late at night, we used to hire a cab from downtown.
Tunde was very well organized, and very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was clean, well taken care of, and we definitely saved a lot of money staying there instead of DC hotels. If we return to DC I would stay there again for sure. It's not far from downtown either.
