  • The Loft was amazing, a large open space with high ceilings, hardwood floors and large windows to let in lots of light. Well decorated and comfortable. Immaculate throughout. I was able to work during the day on the Internet which was fast, and then step outside and be right in the heart of The Plateau with cafe's, restaurants, nightclubs and parks and shops right there.

The Loft was a perfect spot to ignite the artist spirit in me and during the hot muggy days in the Montreal summer, the air conditioning in the Loft was so welcoming and made sleeping a delight!

The Loft was completely silent, sleeping was easy, there was almost zero sound from outside. It was hard to believe it was located in a fairly bustling part of the city because once inside I felt like I was in a tranquil cocoon of comfort!

The Loft, to me, felt like the sort of space I would live in if I were a writer or sculptor or musician or photographer living in a New York City. Open and tall and bright and hip. The whole vibe of the building and the loft was very unique and gave me a boost to my creativity and made my trip to Montreal very special.

Nice appliances and absolutely everything was immaculate from cutlery to bathroom and from the furniture to the dishes and windows. Beyond being modern and hip, the best part of the Loft was the tranquility of the space compared to the vibrant area it was located which gave me access to nighlife as well as work space.

The building, which is an iconic Montreal structure on The Main and houses the lofts of many artists and graphic design companies, felt very secure and the vintage marble floors and worn hardwood stairs in the lobby really added a touch of old school elegance.

I go to Montreal 3 or 4 times per year and usually stay in hotels but now I've stayed here I have to say the Loft was better than any hotel by a long shot because the location of the Loft is in such an active and charming area and being so well appointed made it unbelievable. The fully equipped Loft allowed me to work and live in a unique setting and feel like a resident of Montreal and not a tourist.

    Would recommend without hesitation.

    Merci Serge!

  • We had a wonderful vacation. Our pleasure & enjoyment of Montreal was greatly enhanced by having such a fantastic home base to return to. It is a very special 'luminous loft, calm and spacious'. Our host, Serge, made communications easy and efficient. His loft is beautifully decorated and enhanced by the quality of the furnishings and the interesting and evocative original artwork on display. Maps and reference materials on Monteal's attractions were provided. The neighbourhood is interesting and diverse reflecting a talented, creative community. There were so many places to walk. We parked our car on Sunday and did not use it again until Thursday, as we headed home. This has been our best experience yet in terms of short term accommodations and we look forward to returning. Everything about this place was perfect.

  • The place was just like it looked in the photos (maybe even better!). It was very clean and spacious and situated in a great part of town. There are restaurants, shops and bars right outside but the building itself is nice and quiet. We were there for the Jazz Fest and ended up leaving the car parked and walking everywhere for our entire stay. Serge was awesome. He greeted us at the time we said we'd arrive and gave us a quick tour, telling us what we needed to know. We didn't have any issues, but I feel like if we did, he would have quickly resolved them. I would definitely stay here again.

  • My host was there to greet me and was available if I needed him. The loft was spacious and had all the comforts. The location was excellent -- a great walking neighborhood and very accessible to public transportation. I had no car and needed no car.

Overall, I highly recommend both Serge Clement and his loft.

  • This is a great space and in an ideal location on Blvd St Laurent in the Plateau.
Serge was always helpful and accommodating to my questions. As he lives in the building, it is easy for him to come to the apartment. I am a mature woman travelling on my own but visiting relatives here. I felt safe and secure in this apartment and it is a true rental -not someone's apartment that has moved out for a while. As such, it is set up with everything you need - hair dryer, kitchen facilities ( no dishwasher or microwave tho), washing machine and dryer etc. good storage space for clothes, TV and wifi, comfy lounge and nice bed linen and towels. The bathroom is small but adequate. It was very clean and a funky apartment. Right next door is a cafe and bidi bike rental is across the road - very convenient! There was also an umbrella for the rainy days - everything you needed was there. A great stay - thanks Serge!

  • Serge was very pleasant and walked us through the loft very throughly. The area itself was excellent with lots of little boutiques and cafes on the street. Loft was well kept and exactly like the photos. Great value for this part of town.

  • Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay - Serge was attentive and easy to communicate with, and the apartment is in a fantastic location. We dined at fantastic spots and had a great time in Montreal. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to friends. Thanks for making a memorable trip Serge!

  • Fantastic loft,! Stylish, hip, comfortable, functional and cozy. Exactly as on the photos and the description provided. Neighbourhood could not be better - safe but lively, nice cafes and plenty famous restaurants around ( Schwartz, Patati Patata, Snack & Blues, Cafe Sardines (or Iwashi at night ) or Bethlehem to mention only a few with good and interesting food and/or atmosphere). Serge and Michele have made the formalities very easy and they were both very helpful and nice. We have greatly enjoyed Serge's photographs and we have even bought a book with his works. Thank you!

  • What an incredible first experience with Airbnb! Micheline met us at the building entrance and showed us up to the wonderful loft space. The space is exactly as pictured if not more beautiful. Micheline and Serge had even printed out a booklet of nearby activities and restaurants - perfect for exploring! I don't think you could find a more convenient space - very clean, centrally located, steps away from public transportation/bikes, washer/dryer, full kitchen, free wi-fi, cable television... I would most definitely recommend Micheline and Serge's apartment to any couple exploring Montreal. Merci beaucoup, Micheline and Serge! We hope to be back soon!

    Best wishes,
    Cassie and Dean
