Good spot, not super close to main restaurants/ sites but not a far walk. Good neighborhood and clean place. Helpful and nice host.
Response from Samuel:
Just for the record: The apartment is located in heart of the city. The closest restaurant is 70 meters away. Difficult to be closer ;) The neighborhood is very lively. There are plenty of trendy to alternative bars and nice restaurants nearby. There is also a flee market nearby on the Plaine de Plainpalais which also hosts circus and other popular events. There are famous museums and art galleries all around (MAMCO, MEG, Patek Philippe Museum, etc.). Every first Thursday of the month the whole area celebrates the event 'La nuit des Bains' where all the galleries open for exhibition and party. La Jonction is situated between two rivers: the Rhône and the Arve. Great swimming in the summer. And otherwise nice relaxing walking area.
TL;DR: I do not recommend this host, even though the location is nice. We were met by Sarah, Samuel's girlfriend, who provided the keys and rudimentary info about the apartment and surrounding area. The apartment was more or less as described, but despite the listing saying th…
Response from Samuel:
I am very sorry to notice how negatively distorted Julia's perception is, and how far it is from reality. As with every guest, I welcomed her and her family providing all useful information, and preparing the apartment to make her stay in Geneva as confortable as possible. We have always been available to answer any question or to provide help and support if needed, but Julia never asked for anything, and never complained during her stay, so I was assuming she was happy with everything, as all of my guests have been so far. I cannot answer to her comment in details because there are to many lies and extravagant inventions. I can prove how dishonest she is just by fact she wrote me "I plan on returning to the apartment for 5 to finish cleaning" one day after departure. And I never had a motorbike... :) Julia did not agree to pay for broken objects and the damages in the apartment (marks and drawings on the walls). She got so rude and agressive that I decided to take care of the reparation myself. I did not ask for a single penny, and she did not pay for the damages she made. It is maybe useful just to remind there few points: 1) I share my Internet connection with the neighbour and it just works great. 2) There is a laundry self-service 120 meters away from my place. 3) Checkout time is at 11 am unless special request.
