About the Apartments
-We have three one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments. We live in one of them part-time.
-This unit has Northern exposure; it overlooks a block of art galleries.
-The building is a very well-maintained, 1920's historic apartment building in the SOFA Arts District.
-Hardwoods floors throughout, all original fixtures and moldings. Charming kitchens with original icebox intact.
-All three apartments have large, picture frame windows; loads of light.
-Freshly painted, spotless.
-Sparsely furnished, each with full bed, stocked kitchen (tools/cookware) and full bath in modern-ish aesthetic.
They are lovely, no-fuss apartments and we are hoping to find folks who will enjoy them as much as we do. There is ample street parking. The building is quiet, only three units on the floor.
Perfect for cyclists enjoying SoCo; there's room in each apartment to store two bikes, maybe three. We have a floor pump available.
About the Area
SOFA (South of A Street) is home to Santa Rosa's arts community. The apartment is located between several points of interest (see map for guidebook). A new neighborhood bistro has opened downstairs - The Spinster Sisters. Picturesque Julliard Park is a block down the street. An .8 mi bike ride/walk away is the Fourth Street shopping and restaurant district which includes the well-known Russian River Brewery. Locally-owned Atlas Coffee shop is one block away. Historic and quaint Railroad Square offers more restaurants (American, Thai, wine bars) and speciality shopping, like antiques. The Spinster Sisters restaurant is downstairs.
Things To Do (See guidebook for our other apartment "Sunny Base for yr Sip & Cycle") You can be sipping and cycling within a few miles of leaving South A Street. Walk two blocks north from the apartment and you are on the 22 mi. long Prince Memorial Greenway, which runs along the Santa Rosa Creek as far as Sebastopol. It is as perfect for exercise as it is for taking short or long explorations to other destinations in the area. Visit the Sonoma County wineries by bike throughout Russian River and Dry Creek Valleys. Do the incredibly scenic 50 mi. loop to Occidental and back. I'm happy to share any info on the area, just let me know what you'd like to do during your stay.

Very simple spot but we loved it. Location was great near an amazing breakfast coffee shop and easy to get to everything else. Host was very responsive pre-arrival. Easy in and easy out. 5 stars.
Nice appartment in Santa Rosa. Clean and quiet. Close to downtown (10 minute walk). It Was perfect for us!
I love the little apartment, it was super comfy. The apartment was clean, bright and the kitchen had basic cooking ware available. Everything worked.
The location was charming, in the Art district, sort of speak. Eric was very responsive when I asked where to go grocery shopping. The best part I felt it was very affordable. I rented the apartment for seven days. Next your I would like to return. Thank you Eric for providing a nice comfortable apartment.
Description of the place accurate. Very minimalist, yet nice and large apartment!! Nice and central to downtown so we could bike to Russian River Brewery along with a few other hot spots, only a short ride away. Great place to "land" between wine tasting and hitting up Dillon's beach. Only disadvantage to the apartment is the bed was it was a bit muggy in the heat of the day (as other reviewers stated).
Apartment was as described. Host was able to accommodate a last minute reservation and special request - THANK YOU! The restaurant downstairs (The Spinster Sisters) was FANTASTIC - had dinner and brunch there - sooooo goood! Vanessa was the most knowledgable (about food, drink and the area), efficient, personable and friendly bartender! Lots of cute shops and art galleries within walking distance, as well as a beautiful park. The perfect weather didn't hurt either!
We stayed here for several weeks after moving to town while we looked for a place to rent. This is a lovely little apartment in a bustling part of downtown with galleries, a park filled with bocce ball enthusiasts, and coffee shops. Also, the bike trails is a short ride away. The restaurant downstairs is divine! We have to restrain ourselves or we would eat there every night if we could afford it. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable. We like to cook and the kitchen, though sparsely equipped, had enough to accommodate us cooking dinner regularly. The pictures are true to how the space looks. Eric was very quick to respond with any questions we had and the folks down in the restaurant are very helpful and kind as well. The only downside was that it got very hot during the last half of the day and did not cool off at night like buildings typically do in this area. We had the sunny and bright apartment, so it could be different with the others.
