I was made to feel welcome by Eva and her family. Their home 4 mins walk from the centre of the village and a supermarket is 5 minutes walk away. The apartment is small but very well appointed. I was able to use one of their bikes to ride along the canal.
And I enjoyed a very pleasant evening with then. The breakfast was delicious and huge. I would recommend staying there. Having wifi was great.
Very Nice tenants. They were able to show us everything we wanted and breakfast was Great. Super meat appartment, very clean and safe neibourhood. Would go back!
Eva and Alfonzo were perfect hosts making sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay with them. They were always happy to make recommendations and went above and beyond by giving us directions and advice, they even made a table reservation for us. The apartment was a perfect base for us with everything we needed, we also enjoyed making use of the family pool and getting to know the whole family. The only down fall was having to leave :( Capestang and Le petit platane are very special and I would really hope to return one day. Thank again for making our holiday a great one!
Le petit platane is excellent place to stay if you want to discover the region around beziers/narbonne!
The appartment is very cosy. You have your own bathroom, kitchen, terrace and barbecue. Everything you need for a good vacantion is there. You have enough privacy but also enough possibilities to get in contact with the Hamori family!
The host family is great to. The 4 of them are lovely persons! We’ve got very good tips about things we should do and thing we shouldn’t do. We had al lot of fun with them.
Many things to do! There are a lot of cosy villages like carcasonne, narbonne, minerve, poilhes and ofcourse Capestang! Also lots of markets! Le canal du midi is 2 minutes away from le petit platane and is lovely to walk are to bike along.
When you go there, you won’t regret!
We will certainly come back!
Apologies to Eva and family for a late review - however, the stay here was wonderful! Very sweet and helpful couple. We couldn't have asked for more! Capestang is lovely.
It was a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately we stayed for only couple of nights. Eva and her family are great host, very talkative and always helpful when needed. The accommodation was brilliant, very cozy and private. We did enjoy our days in Eva's house and we recommend it to everyone. By the way great restaurants around the area and lots of outdoor activities.
Given our small pied a terre in another village, I opted for this gite to house my guest. I am delighted by the location, the accommodations and the hospitality by the host, Eva and her family. My guest felt very welcomed and safe. She truly enjoyed the opportunity to stay at the accommodation and to get to know Eva. Kudos to Eva and her family for their kindness and their hospitality.

Perhaps we watched 'Under the Tuscan Sun' one too many times and got inspired to have our own life changing experience! Our family moved to France from Canada after travelling throughout Europe looking for a new life. We chose this region as it has lots to see and do, with many music festivals, outdoor activities (biking, hiking, walking), wine and castle tours and markets to sample the local flavours.
The countryside is breathtaking with rolling hills covered in grape vines. The Mediterranean Sea is a short drive from us with the beautiful blue water and white sand beaches. There are also fresh water lakes and rivers close to us where the locals dip during the long hot summer months.
The best part of our life is meeting people from around the world, fellow wanderlusts on their own adventures or people moving to the region looking for real estate. In our spare time we discover much of the surrounding areas and would love to share our experiences with you, (far too often over wine.)
Our family has travelled to Canada, US, Alaska, Mexico, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Cuba and France. Why is the world so big and diverse if we are not meant to explore it?
