  • Ross is a great host, and the property is just wonderful. The location can not be beat for getting around Tucson. The unit has everything you need and just such a nice tranquil setting in a great neighborhood. Highly recommend this place and this host!

  • Ross made us feel truly welcome. He went out of his way to help us get settled and even lent us tools and suggested a possible rental, since we were just moving to Tucson. He even offered to walk our dog!

The casita was elegant and comfortable with everything we needed. We always looked forward to coming back to it. We slept well and felt it was a true haven for us, as we found more permanent living arrangements for our new life in Tucson. We would heartily recommend this casita to anyone coming to Tucson. You'll love it.

About
I have been teaching in the public school system here in Tucson for the past 28 years. My wife is also an educator at the University of Arizona. We have two amazing daughters, 15 and 13, who are the focus of our lives. We have been renting our guesthouse, Casita Emmalia, as a vacation rental for the past 8 years. We love meeting new people, building relationships, and welcoming return guests each winter season. Over the past three years, we have been working hard to restore a historic Spanish colonial 4-plex near the University of Arizona. We have completely renovated the property inside and out and are very happy with the results. We now offer two fully furnished one bedroom casitas and two fully furnished 2 bedroom units on Airbnb. Check out our listings for Casitas Helena! Since we have the summers free, we love to travel and explore new places.....especially places by water because we have so little in Arizona. We traveled to Italy during the summer of 2012 and used airbnb for several accommodation stops. We had good luck using the site and plan to use it again in future travels. We traveled with our two daughters to Ecuador during the summer of 2013 to attend a language school in the colonial town of Cuenca. We plan to use airbnb during our travels next summer. In the states, one of our favorite places to spend time is Bolinas, California.....great beaches and hiking....and so close to San Francisco, our favorite American city! We have also recently discovered Telluride, Colorado and have spent the past few New Years skiing and enjoying the beauty of the west slope of the Rocky Mountains.
