About This Listing
Welcome to our place! We are a family of 3 &
we offer our two-bedroom flat to rent when we go out of town. We've had plenty of Airbnb guests before, we like to think that it was always very successful! We love our neighborhood, you will too!
Our flat is located on the fifth & sixth floors of a six-floor century old building. There's no lift but that's easy exercise. It's a duplex of 70m2 (750 sq ft) with two bedrooms, one bathroom (with bath tub and shower), one toilet, a kitchen, dining space and living space.
the flat sleeps 4 adults (plus a baby)
-One bedroom (baby's room) has a 140x200cm folding bed plus a crib that we'll put away if not used.
-One room has a 160x200cm bed.
We'll provide clean sheets and towels.
We also have a fireplace for winter nights and a balcony for summer wine-sipping evenings enjoying the sunset!
Guests will have access to the whole flat, all kitchen equipment (dishes, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, microwave...), bath and shower, washing machine, high speed wifi, tv.
Interaction with Guests
We are French, and my wife and I speak English (she's a translator) and understand Spanish and Italian.
We are happy to answer all questions before booking and provide all the instructions and tips to 'navigate' from any airport/station to our place. Check-ins and check-outs are made easy for you, we have nice neighbors who are always willing to help out! You can reach us easily at all times by phone, text or email.
**UEFA FOOTBALL EURO 2016 - Our flat is available during whole competition for 4 adults and extras if need be on inflatable mattresses. We're 15/20 min away from Stade de France by car or subway. We're close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est for Lille, Lens & Nancy stadiums -- contact us for discounts !***
Our neighborhood is as good as it gets: right behind Montmartre, packed with trendy restaurants and tons of shops, but not the touristic kind. Our neighborhood is very lively yet our street is quiet.
The Puces de Saint Ouen flea market is just down the road. The Sacre Coeur is 10 minutes away climbing the famous stairs of Montmartre, and the list goes on... Just ask away and we'll find you quick and easy directions :-)
Make sure you check the map (guide) attached to the listing for our recommendations.
There are 3 metro lines (12-jules joffrin / 4-pte de clignancourt / 13-guy moquet) and 7 bus lines that can take you anywhere in Paris, including gare du nord, gare de l'est, saint lazare and montparnasse, the eiffel tower, champs elysées, musée du louvre, and many more...! We'll give you detailed maps to make it even easier for you. We're also easy to find by cab from both airports since we're close to the 'periphérique'.
Other Things to Note
People often notice how clean and tidy the place is, and the furniture is just what you need, so there's plenty of space for guests and their luggage.
We think our city is the n°1 visited place on Earth for a reason, and we want our guests to get the most of it and not having to worry about a shady place to stay! So we'll provide you with books, maps, apps, insights and tips and anything that can take you off the traditional tourists paths and hopefully for a great experience!
We have moved around too and know how a travel schedule is not always easy to stick to. So we try and make arrangements that fit your plans but then we expect guests to be reachable at all times, especially around check-in time. Obviously we expect guests to respect the neighbors and the place (no pets nor smoking).
Absolutely beautiful and chic apartment in a gorgeous and trendy neighbourhood! Could not fault it, likewise, Priscilla and Marc were the perfect hosts. We felt completely at home and felt assured knowing they were on stand by to answer any questions. They gave us fantastic recommendations and we especially loved the burger place near them - a definite must. Would recommend both apartment and hosts to all my friends and family.
Although Marc and his family had already left Paris for the weekend, he made it quite easy to access the apartment and we had no issues getting in and settled. He had left lots of instructions and notes about their apartment and neighborhood and I was able to get quick response from him when I had a question, via text message. The area of Montmartre they live in is tucked away from some of the busier areas and felt safe and welcoming. There were several grocers, bakeries, cafes and shops in the area. Also, a great farmer's market close by on the weekend. We used the Metro exclusively for transportation and had 2 stops for different lines close by. The apartment was well equipped for cooking, and the aesthetic was clean and comfortable. Street noise was minimal and we all slept well at night. Montmartre was a great jumping off point for exploring the larger city centre and also offers lots of culture on its own. We were traveling with our 4 year old and the apartment works well for children (although there is an exposed staircase to be cautious of). We highly recommend this listing to those wanting to explore Paris and get a feel for life in the city.
Our stay at Marc & Prisciles' was virtually flawless and we settled in straight away. The apt was ideal for us travelling w 2yo, with ample space , conveniences and also being very centrally located within Montmartre. We were very grateful of the extra info, arrangements and generosity of our hosts. It was our first air BnB stay so has set the benchmark quite high ;)
The house is very clean, having a nice taste which makes you feel very comfortable. Mark and Priscilla are quite nice people even we could not meet them personally but during our telecon conversations and e-mail correspondences, they were quite helpful. They also left us little notes around the house for assistance, maps, charts regarding bus hours, bike rent documents (which we were quite interested) and some recommended restaurant cards as well as the phone number of the taxi. You can find anything you need in the house such as hair dryer, washing machine, oven, utencils, clean towels, shampoo, sheets, refrigirator and more that I cant count...
Beautiful apartment, about 30mins away from the major sights. The 5 flights of stairs are soon forgotten, once you reach the apartment. Has all the amenities you need - with kitchen supplies.
Lots of small and large groceries shops and restaurants close by.
