Sunny and bright bedroom with direct access to garden behind it. The room has a queen-sized bed and has three huge windows which face east, west and south respectively. The bedroom is on the lower floor of a brownstone, duplex apartment in the residential neighborhood of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The bathroom is NOT en suite and is shared with one other person. Though there is no A/C, there is an overhead fan which keeps the temperature in the room during the summer quite comfortable. The apartment has a chef's kitchen which you are free to use. There is a French coffee shop called Choice on the corner which is pricey but very good, where you can get your morning cup or breakfast or lunch or dinner. There are also many restaurants in the neighborhood, many of which are located on DeKalb Ave and Myrtle Ave. The apartment is 40 mins from Times Square, 30 minutes from Greenwich Village/NYU and is very close to Prospect Park, The Brooklyn Museum, Pratt, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, the new Barclays Stadium, Fort Greene and Williamsburg. The apartment is also along the route for the NYC Marathon. Parking is available on the street or in lots in the neighborhood.
I was in Brooklyn and New York City for 12 days having travelled from Ottawa, Canada. Waldemar's place was great - well situated, beautiful historic neighbourhood, safe, close to the subway. Waldemar's home is welcoming, stylish, modern, spacious, has a very social layout, and a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Waldemar responded promptly to questions before my arrival, and when I arrived, he met me at the door, showed me around and made me feel safe and comfortable. Communication throughout my stay was excellent - open and friendly - greatly enhancing my sense of ease, a sense of home away from home. It wasn't easy to leave and I would go again if the opportunity arose. Waldemar as a host has my full endorsement. I would recommend any of the magnificent rooms in his home to other airbnb members.

Waldemar was a wonderful host. We enjoyed talking with him and he gave us helpful hints for getting around. The room was very clean and comfortable with lots of closet and drawer space. The bathroom facilities were fine. The location is ideal for getting to the subway and into Manhattan (or around Brooklyn). The coffeeshop on the corner was terrific. And Waldemar's cat is very friendly!
Very helpful, always available and nice host. I enjoyed staying at his place.
The neighborhood is also nice and quiet. It's a 40 minutes ride by subway from Manhattan though.
The room was nice and cozy even for two people. Bed was comfortable, Shower was hot. and the host was great as well.
Location is also very close to a few different subway stops making it very convenient.
Our stay at Waldemar's was good. The room is cosy, the area is quiet with all the amenities you need: supermarket, lovely coffee place right by the corner, really close to the tube station. You can reach Manhattan in around 20-25 mns. Overall, I would recommend Waldemar's place, he is a good host.
Waldemar is the most easy going and pleasant host ever. We had many great conversations, and staying at his place was very relaxed and delightful. The apartment is nice and quiet and located just a few blocks away from the subway (g train), as well as a supermarket and a few cafes/restaurants.
Very nice host, great location, comfortable room. We'll stay there again.
Waldemar is an excellent host. He's very nice personally and is always a pleasure to talk to. The room itself fit my needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable, and he let me use his kitchen to make tea during the cold nights.
I stayed at Waldemar's place for three days because I ran the NYC marathon. Great place, comfortable and clean, nice area in Brooklyn with coffee shop on the corner, and good subway connection to Manhattan. Waldemar is very friendly and helpful. I had a very pleasant stay and highly recommend him.
Waldemar is very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The living was comfortable, the bed large and the garden super output. We could always use the kitchen. The area is really great, many small organic coffee and bakeries, easy to reach with the subway and go for nice walks.
