Gordon is a generous and accommodating host. The apartment is well situated within the city and there is no problem walking to and from the area in the evenings. The room is comfortable and quiet and I had a lovely stay.
We enjoyed our stay with Gordon in Cork very much. Gordon and his flatmate were very welcoming. We had a bedroom overlooking the river. The apartment has an excellent location close to center city. We had interesting conversations and Gordon was very helpful in helping us to determine the sites we wanted to see in and around Cork. Gordon also suggested some good local pubs and restaurants.
The kitchen was spacious and we cooked some dinners there. We also utilized the clothes washer, which was very handy.
We recommend Gordon's place to anyone going to Cork.
We stayed at Gordon's place for two nights. He was very helpful guiding is about the city and very knowledgable about the culture. We would advise people to talk to him before booking any tours or anything because he gives great advise about sightseeing. It's a great location to stay, very safe and easy to get everywhere.
Staying with Gordon was great! When we first got there he told us about the area and suggested some great places to see and gave us the lowdown of the house. Gordon was very friendly, and was nice enough to let us stay in his room because his housing situation changed and he got some room mates. His room mates were very friendly! I loved talking to David. David gave us some great tips on where to go during our stay! He was great! He provided a breakfast for us, which suited our needs perfectly! His house was clean and we felt very welcomed. The parking situation was iffy since he was out of the house when we were actually staying there and the only way to open the gates was through him, however, during the night time there is parking in front of the buildings which is free from like 7pm-8:30am.
I spent a week in Gordon's house. I was on my own and spent the week on a training course.
The bedroom was quite big for just one person. Plenty of space in the wardrobe. The desk and chair were confortable enough to spend a couple hours working some of the days, and it has a nice window overlooking the river. The bed was big and comfortable and everything was very clean.
There is a nice living room area with some comfortable sofas, a table to have dinner and a window also overlooking the river. Quite a lot of light in the apartment although it was drizzley almost all week!
Gordon is a nice respectful host, who can always give advice on things to do in Cork and is eager to help with any problems.
The apartment is very central, you can get to anywhere with a little walk. There are shops and take aways in the area very near to sort out lunches and dinners.
It overall is a nice place to stay and I can definitely recomend it.
You couldn't be more central in Cork. Gordon was a very considerate & informative host, his flat is a definite recommendation for visits to Cork!
During our stay at Gordon's house, he had been friendly, helpfully and open-minded. He gave us a map of Cork with local recommendations of restaurants, bars and the coffeeshop, where you get good coffee in Cork ;-)
The apartment is very close to the centre of Cork and has been clean and quiet.
I can just go along with the previous comments and recommend a stay at the Gordon's Inn.
The room is really clean and the house really near the city centre!!!!Gordon gave us a lot of information about Cork and surrounding
Short walk across the river Lee to downtown Cork. Much shorter walk up the hill to Eugene's bar. Gordon lives here but we had the place to ourselves. The apartment was fully stocked and very secure.
Gordon was a wonderful host and his appartment is very central. Perfect for exploring the city.
He gave us a lot of information about the best pubs and things to see in Cork.
I can highly recommend this place!
