The hosts were available upon my arrival and explained everything about the apartment. They were helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area and included a book of maps and tourist brochures to help plan your stay. The rooftop deck was also a nice feature with great views of Mont Royal, The Big O and the downtown skyline. The apartment is in a great part of town, lots to do on St Laurent, but very quiet even at night. I had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back!
The location is amazing, a few minutes walk from everything, the apartment is nice, clean and spacious, exactly like the photos. Andrea our host was very friendly, I would definitely stay here again!
Andrea was great! My husband and I got a little lost on the way, and Andrea was extremely patient and waited at the apartment till we found it. She gave us a quick tour of the apartment and garage and immediately made us feel comfortable. After she left, she even texted me to make sure we could find the nearest bank and metro station.
The apartment itself is very spacious, bright and clean. It's equipped with almost everything one might need. Having a parking spot was also extremely helpful as we didn't need to worry about our car for the entire trip. Since the apartment is in the center of everything great in Montreal, we didn't find the need to drive anywhere. Our farthest destination was the biodome and that was just a 20 something minute metro ride.
I highly recommend Andrea and her apartment! It was a wonderful experience.
Andrea made us feel completely welcome. She was quick to respond to text messages/emails. The apartment matched the description and photos very well. The neighborhood is very centrally located, and it's location is it's greatest virtue: you can get almost everything you need within easy walking distance. We were there for seven weeks and got to know the neighborhood a bit. Andrea's recommendations were very useful. The SAQ (provincial liquor store) at the corner of Pine & St-Laurent has a good wine collection; the 4 Frères across Saint-Laurent has a nice beer selection; for an unusual but generally positive and very inexpensive food shopping experience try Segal's Market up Saint-Laurent just past Schwartz's (but note they are cash only); for a very pleasant outing, walk up the mountain to the Chalet; for a great healthy meal, try Lola Rosa Café over on Milton; if you're going to be there long enough, you can join the McGill gym and use their fitness center. To get to the closest Metro (Sherbrooke), it is a pleasant walk down Prince Arthur and through the Square Saint-Louis park, then across Saint-Denis. There are almost too many interesting restaurants and cafés right in the neighborhood or not far away, the location is really amazing. I would say that everything about the place is excellent, with three very minor issues: because of the central location, there is sometimes noise at night as people leave the neighborhood bars; the view from the apartment itself is not wonderful (being primarily of a large dumpy building across the street), but there is a nice view from the roof terrace; while there are bus lines very close, the closest Metro is about 11-12 minutes away on foot.
Andrea is a great hostess who is very helpful and kind. We loved staying at her centrally located apartment in Montreal. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we wanted.
Great appartment. Just as shown in the pictures. Well kept. Clean. Good location, about 15-20 min walk to downtown, however plenty of restaurants and shops in the immediate area.
Nice host, maps and guides provided.
Convenient parking, yes the spot is a bit difficult to get into, but hey at least you've got a free parking space in Montreal! Andrea helped the first time and we managed ourselves afterwards.
Would stay again.
