🌿 Welcome to the Treehouse—your serene retreat in the treetops! 🌿

Guest access
The treehouse is all yours for a private and peaceful retreat.

Feel free to walk down to the pool, but please let us know in advance when you’d like to use it. The pool is shared with other guests and also used for Sarah’s water therapy sessions.

Please note that the pool area is a work in progress, and we often have ongoing construction. The pool is covered by a dome with a door for access—please keep it closed when you’re finished.

✨ While here, you may experience moments of deep tranquility and a profound connection to nature. ✨

Other things to note
🚗 Getting to the Treehouse:

A designated parking spot is available up the driveway, followed by a short walk to the Treehouse.
Driveway is steep—gather a little speed at the bottom to reach the top in a regular car. AWD is recommended.
If preferred, you can park at the bottom (parking signs near pool at bottom left), and we can assist with check-in or provide a map to walk up.
We’re located off a gravel road.

🌉 The Adventure Begins:

To reach the Treehouse, you must cross a hanging bridge—a fun (and safe) part of the experience!
Loft Caution: Watch your head when climbing the ladder and be mindful of the edges & low ceiling above.
⚠️ Safety First:

Outdoor balconies are high up—please be mindful and cautious. Your safety & enjoyment are our priority.

🚿 Outdoor Shower:

Located just a few steps from the Treehouse.
Bring a headlamp & flip-flops for best results. A bathrobe is great for cooler months.
Watch your step! Some stone steps may be loose, and we are gradually improving the landscaping—please excuse the “work in progress.”
If shower runs out of propane, there is usually a spare full tank there. Pls let us know if you need help switching tanks.

🚽 Bathroom Details:

Compost toilet – PLS USE ONLY SITTING DOWN. FRONT IS FOR LIQUID, REAR IS FOR SOLIDS.
Guys, feel free to sprinkle outside if preferred. Pls don’t pee standing into it as it can make a real mess. Add some wood chips to solids after use.

🔥 Fire Ring Chill Area:

Located to the right of the parking area (Treehouse is to the left).
Plenty of branches around for firewood—let us know if you need an axe or assistance.
Beware of snakes—they can be hard to spot.
Fully extinguish fire before leaving.
Please watch for regional fire bans during dry months.

💨 Heating & Cooling:

A small remote control operates the heater & AC—let us know if you need help.

💦 Water:

New water filtration system: Includes oxidation & UV filtering—water may appear white at first but clears up quickly. Potable & safe to drink.

Pool access:

Available upon request—please ask first.
Pool is covered by a dome with an access door. Dome sections can be rolled to the side—please close it when done.
Pool closes for fall/winter season October - April usually.

🏡 Other Notes:

Our house is nearby—we can’t see you or barely feel you. you may notice us coming & going, we’re very friendly and like our privacy at same time, will surely respect your privacy completely.
Bamboo fence is growing for added privacy.
Neighbors exist! Sometimes they shoot targets (it’s normal in NC) or work on their homes during the day—just normal neighbor things.
If you see a big black dog, it’s not a bear, it’s Yoshi, our 2 year old Lab Poodle mix. He’s extremely friendly and large, is trained not to goto the Treehouse. Pls don’t feed him, do let us know if he shows up as is too intense…

🚫 House Rules:

No candles, please!
✨ Enjoy your treetop retreat! ✨

Welcome to our home. We settled onto these 9 acres in 2017, at the end of a quiet road backing to 300+ acres of forest. You’re close to Asheville’s restaurants, breweries, hikes, and waterfalls — or can just stay, hike and unwind. Sarah offers massage, Watsu, and Somatic Experiencing sessions on-site. I’m Steve, a realtor builder GC, dreamer and on-site problem solver plus connector. Just let us know how we can help you have an awesome soft adventure or relaxation experience in our fair city! .
