The apartment is even more perfect than the pictures. Daniele was extremely accommodating and responsive (even helped me book a car service at the same rate as a taxi to the airport). We could not have been happier with our choice. I worried about the street noise. We were there Saturday - Thursday and Saturday night it was noiser; the other nights I did hear it so the advice of other reviewers is perfect. If you're a light sleeper somewhere else would be better but I am SO glad we stayed here and would check availability with Daniele on a return trip before booking anywhere else -- the apartment is terrific and the neighborhood is the place to be!
The apartment was in a great location, very clean and comfortable. Daniele was also a great host, who gave us some good tips and we were also able to store our luggage after check-out. I can only recommend it!
attico molto carino e curato; host, o meglio mamma dell'host, molto accogliente ed attenta; situato nell'autentico e verace cuore di Trastevere; nel complesso, wend da riproporre, per casa e location.
Apartment was just as described. We had an enjoyable stay here. Since it is located in Trastevere, there is access to all of the nightlife. If you are a light sleeper, that can be a problem because the sounds from the street do drift up. We would recommend highly.
CAUTION WHEN RENTING WITH THIS HOST!!! My partner and I reserved Daniele's "Trastevere Penthouse" early in November 2013, for a one week period, starting 25 Dec, thru 1 Jan, 2014. Unfortunately, a month after we made our reservation, we got an apologetic message from Daniele telling us that he must cancel our reservation, due to the fact that he wanted to give his apartment to a family member, for that same time period. I'm sure that anyone could understand, that this news came as great disappointment. As we were very excited to be spending the holidays in this cute apartment and realised that a major part of our holiday plans fell apart. In addition, this situation left us not much time to find another place in Rome. We did find another place quickly. However, considering that we were closer to the holidays, the selection of apartments available, for our dates, were much less to our liking. Sort of the dregs to be honest. In conclusion: beware, as nothing is for sure with Air B&B.
I am terribly consternated about this situation that happened with your
reservation, really. Please be aware of the fact that if I found myself in
the situation of having to cancel your reservation is not something that I
ever did if it wasn't a serious emergency situation in consequence to some
difficult familiar issues, which landed to giving the apartment for the
same period to my brother, that left his apartment in Rome for going to
work abroad for many months.
Please feel my sincere apologies for this unfortunate combination of events.
if I were in your shoes of course I'd be extremely disappointed. This
represents a source of regretfullness for me as much as it is for you.
That said, I renew my felt apologies for this regrettable drawback, and for
showing you my support If you, or any of your friends, decide to rent the
apartment I will be more than happy to offer you a discount.
The apartment is very comfortable, large, full of light and with modern bathroom and kitchen. The location is loud at night, but fun! It's where all the Romans hang out with good local food and pubs. Using public transportation and walking, you can easily get to all the Roman sites.
My wife and I spent two weeks in the apartment and had a wonderful time. Daniele was a great host and very responsive to all our questions. The apartment was very clean and is located in a great area of Trastevere that is walking distance to most Rome destinations. There are plenty of great restaurants within a short walk from the apartment. The apartment is well equipped for cooking and there are many great shops and markets to purchase fresh Roman ingredients.
We had breakfast on the terrace nearly every morning enjoying the wonderful view of the surrounding area. Overall we had an amazing time and the apartment exceeded our expectations.
We spent a week at Daniele's apartment, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The apartment is on the top floor of a fantastic old building in the best neighborhood in Rome, Trastevere. It's got the quaint, winding streets you'd expect, but also dozens of top quality restaurants and bars. And its only a 10, 15 minute walk from Piazza Navona, Pantheon, and all the Centro Storico craziness.
The apartment itself has fast wifi, working A/C, a comfortable bed, a great balcony, and a laundry machine. All the comforts you need.
The only word of caution is the noise from the street. It's on Vicolo de Cinque, which is one of the biggest party streets in Trastevere. We didn't mind because we never came home till 1am or so, and we were so tired the noise from the street didn't bother us. But be forewarned, it can get loud. If the noise bothers you, maybe you should think of staying out later!!
Daniele was a great host! The apartment was very nice and clean. Its situation is also amazing: in the heart of the Trastevere and only 10 minutes away from Campo Dei Fiori! It was very easy to visit the city only by walking thanks to the location of the flat.
Daniele's friend, Arturo, was friendly, helpful and welcomed us very kindly. He even let us some cookies and drinks in the kitchen! I would love to come back, thank you very much!
We loved staying at Daniele's charming and ideally located apartment in Trastevere. The neighborhood is lovely and lively. This was our last stop of a multi week trip through Italy and we were glad to have a comfortable place to kick back. The apartment is really well stocked with supplies- we were able to buy provisions from the grocery store and use the kitchenware provided to make breakfast and lunch. There were even light snacks, juice, and mineral water awaiting us when we arrived. The view from the balcony of all the terra-cotta rooftops in the neighborhood can't be beat! Daniele was very easy to communicate with and check in was very easy.
