Itaewon Land is known as "Zzimzil Bang" to people.

We have several types of Zzimzil Bang(cave heated by pine tree, mud sauna, salt sauna, charcoal sauna, hinokki sauna, ice room etc.) you can get in and all you need to do is just sitting there to get a sweat for your better health.

  • The room was much cleaner and more spacious than I had expected. The wifi in the room didn't work but thankfully there was a lan cable in the room, which I could use with my computer. I stayed during winter, so the temperature of the room was perfect although it did get a little chilly at night. (there is a small heater in the room that could be used)

Toilets are on the floor below the guest rooms so it might be a little inconvenient for people who go to the washroom a lot and there are also no private showers. All showering and bathing is done in the public bath area. It was a little intimidating at first, but I got used to it very soon.

I would say that for the price, it's really value for money as not only do you get a room just like any other motel, you also get to enjoy the in-house spa facilities throughout the entire day! You can also find a lot of foreign restaurants near the resort, which I definitely appreciated. Overall, I loved my stay there and would definitely recommend it to lone looking to stay in Seoul for a short period of time, especially during winter!

  • You have what you pay for. It's great if you couldn't find a real bnb.

  • I was a bit skeptical at first but needed a place for a last minute trip during Chuseok. The wifi signal was strong (which was important for as a an online student). The room was exactly as picture. I stayed in Sept so it wasn't too hot. Slept better than have in a while! It was my first spa (aka bath house) experience, and it sold me on the idea. The hot baths soothed my sore backpacker's muscles and the body scrub made my skin feel great - even if the experience was awkward. Well worth the money! And it's in the heart if Itaewon so shopping, Yongsan and plenty of restaurants were close. I'd stay here again next time I'm in Seoul.

  • I have recently stayed here for 7 nights with a group of friends (4 people).

First of all, I have never seen Min Sook Lee (the host). Second, it's a public bath house. This means that on the one hand, random people come for the spa, while they have built some sort of guesthouse around it. The 2nd floor is spa (including shower), the 3rd floor is an open place for people to sleep on thin mats as well as the 4th floor.

To be honest, the pictures make it look better than it is in reality. As it is a public bath house, you will see random people sleeping everywhere in the building. (Its a cheap way to live if you dont have a house). Showering is part of the spa complex, which means that it's shared. For western people it's awkward to be naked with other naked koreans around you taking a bath. You will get used to it though, after a day or 2. The male host was friendly, while others were a bit grumpy. I got yelled at because my (wet) flipflops on the floor. The water has a strange smell. I don't know if it's itaewon but it wasn't very fresh (although they claim it is).

The rooms are superhot, no windows and just a tiny fan. There is no good air ventilation in the room, i doubt that it's good for your health. On the other floors there are many signs to "beware of phone theft", as people are just sleeping everywhere. However, if you have a private room you can lock your door.

It was a nice experience of a zimzilbang, it's a very local thing and i have to say that although there are many negative aspects, you almost pay nothing per night so give it a try for a few days.

  • The entire package - price, location, service cannot be beat! I enjoyed every night rejuvenating in the sauna, hot rooms and pools...the locker room staff (at least on the women's side) were so friendly and welcomed me with warm smiles every time I came back home.

The guest rooms are not air conditioned, but with fans...not a problem for me, though. The washrooms are downstairs, so that's a bit of a pain in the middle of the night...but really, at this cost - who cares!!??

So close to the subway...great restaurants and bars (on the north side of main street are much better). Itaewon is easy access to other neighbourhoods such as Hongdae, Apku, Gangnam (take 421 bus direct) with never more than $10 per taxi ride.
    Gamsahamnida!

  • I had a good time. Thank you! Very good location. Room is clean. Very fast wi-fi inside. Unfotunately I didn't know what to do and where to go after i was shown my room. It would be nice if someone could make a quick tour arround the place. Only on 2nd day I found the way to 3-rd and 4th floor. I recommended the place to my friends already.

  • Our 1st day at seoul we stay at b&b and got culture shock when we must separate men and ladies to go our room at the 4th floor. 1st floor is sauna where many naked women walk around that floor. I never been in this situation and this is new experience for me. Our room is not like in this picture at all and the worst thing is no shower and toilet at same floor. If I need to pee i must go to 1st floor where naked women in sauna. It is really disturb me because this is really weird situation for me. If i want to have a bath i must go to the sauna where everybody are naked. I did not have my bath for 2days and only go to pee at early morning.

  • this place sucked!!! "spa"??? "B&B"??? its a sauna!!!! I dont even think there is a "Min Sook Lee" the sauna is run by guys who dont speak english...

  • It is a cheap option to stay in the heart of Seoul. However, staying in a windowless room that has access through a spa can be a bit funny experience.
