Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
The Tranquil Treehouse is the perfect place to unplug, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature by the lake! The large deck is a great place to read a book, grill out or enjoy a morning cup of coffee! Even rainy days are peaceful at the treehouse due to the natural lullaby of the rain on the red tin roof. The lake is only 150 yards from the house. We have 2 kayaks for guests on carts for the short walk to the shore. Come soak up the sun in the crystal clear water this lake is famous for!

The space
We designed and built the Tranquil Treehouse with the desire to help people get back to nature and enjoy the simple things in life. We wanted this home to be a unique experience for our guests, not just a place to stay. There's nothing better than sitting in the woods with no sounds other than nature's symphony serenading you 16 feet above the forest floor. We intentionally designed the deck to be as large the treehouse hoping that guests would spend the majority of their time outside in nature. The deck also includes an outdoor shower (April-September) so you can enjoy a refreshing shower under the canopy of the trees, twinkling stars or fluffy white clouds! Whether it's just sitting watching the deer and squirrels play, reading a book, chit chatting with one another or sipping your favorite beverage, the serene surroundings will leave you feeling at peace. Throughout the house you'll notice five stained glass windows- each custom made and each with special recognition of all things tranquil, calming and lovely in nature. Moving inside, guests will find a bathroom with a hammered copper 6 foot Japanese soaking tub for 2. The bathroom door is over 130 years old- other than the glass- and was handpicked for it's nostalgia. Mike and I spent hours digging around in 2 old barns one day in torrential rain looking for what we felt was the perfect door for the look we wanted. In the kitchen you'll find the vintage style fridge along with counter tops made from an old gym floor from Ozark High School in Ozark, Arkansas and backsplash made of hand-painted Mexican tile, 2 burner glass stovetop, no oven but it does offer a toaster oven. Next is the living area where you can't miss the Victrola record player with Elvis (and friends) waiting to take a spin on the turntable! I love albums and enjoy sharing my collection with y'all! There is 5g internet available for guests to stream their favorite channels on the Roku TV or Internet use. For the chilly days, enjoy the electric fireplace and a selection of over 40 movies-old and new- complete with popcorn! Upstairs is the 1956 Chevy pickup queen sized bed. Yep, we took a '56 Chevy pickup and made it into a queen bed. Y'all! The dome light turns on as do the tail lights! You also have a gas can lamp on the side table made of old suitcases, but the dome light is bright enough to use to read a bit before a good night's sleep. Feel free to use the tailgate bench for your luggage- it's not off of a '56 but it's still pretty cool! We provide a charcoal grill if you choose to grill your lunch or dinner so don't forget the charcoal! There's a 60 foot cable bridge from the parking area to the house- at night it's lit up as are the trees on the deck! Down below the deck is a fire pit. You'll be provided with firewood and smore sticks! Just grab the grahams, chocolate and marshmallows and come on!
Guest safety:
We always think of the safety of ours guests and because of the height of the treehouse children under the age of 10 years old are not permitted. Also, there is an outdoor security camera that covers the cable bridge and the stairway that go up to the treehouse from the fire pit. This is the only security camera on the entire property and there are NO indoor cameras to ensure our guest's privacy. You also must understand we cannot and do not guarantee use of the shoreline or lake access due to the US Army Corps of engineers lake water level management or flooding.
