The space
Built in 1994, Skywatch observatory is a large mud brick residence set on 3 acres of land with a rural outlook. The observatory is modelled on the Anglo Australian Telescope at Siding Spring and is a 12 metre high tower with a geodesic dome housing a 14 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.

The accommodation is a private apartment in the main building and consists of 2 bedrooms and sitting/lounge room and a bathroom. Guests have full access to the entertaining/dining room, the kitchen, mini golf course, observatory and the native garden.

For anyone interested in astrophotography we have equipment for hire and are willing to assist with teaching you the basic skills associated with taking amazing night sky photos.

Living is a process of letting go. Merril and I understand the many journeys we take to find purpose in our existence are but one part of the overall journey through lives experience. Merril is an Artist/Healer and Gary is a Scientist/Inventor and we are both experienced massage practitioners. At Skywatch we encourage our guests to share with us if that is their desire, or to do their own thing in a comfortable and private space. We are more than happy to share our local knowledge and point you in the right direction!
