The Space

One bedroom available in south boston. Southie is an upcoming Boston neighborhood with plenty of shopping, restaurants and beaches. Stay up to a week! • Christine was a great host! Her apartment is in a great area, plenty of restaurants down Broadway, and easy to walk to other parts of Boston. The room itself has a queen sized bed, plenty of room for a couple like us, a TV with cable, and a mini fridge. Christine was very quiet and courteous. This was the perfect place to stay for our Boston weekend adventure :)

  • It was easy communicating with Christine about het place. I didn't get to meet her, which probably added to my experience of staying at her place.

I cannot recommend this to anyone. I felt very unsafe. The house is not just old, it's a dump, doorlocks are totally unsafe, windows are very fragile, holes in ceiling... I find it hard to believe that anyone actually lives there. Floors where clean but everything was very smudgy.
After looking around for half an hour, I just left.
I have stayed in cheaper places in Boston, that are much much nicer than this one.
Don't be mislead by the pictures!
Christine seems to have another place as well on airbnb, which seems nicer, but it seems strange as well to me to have 2 places listed.

    Response from Christine:

This guest cancelled last minute and never stayed, so I did not issue her a refund (hence her review). I never met her or let her in my apt. Yes, I do have 2 listings one which I live in and one that is a private apt, whats so strange about that?

  • Christine was a great host. She was really kind and left breakfast food, water, and sodas in a mini fridge. In addition, a TV and internet access were available in a clean room. Her place is placed in a quite neighborhood that is really close to the T and there are also many food places nearby. Highly recommended. Thanks Christine!

  • Christine was a great host while we were visiting. Her place was clean, she left us towels, bedding, breakfast food and water in a mini fridge. She is really close to the T so it made traveling around Boston so easy. She was kind enough to meet us when we came in and took us back to her place. She has a very sweet dog who is so good. We could hardly tell the dog was home while we were around. We would definitely stay with her again if we go back to Boston. Thanks Christine!

  • Christine is an excellent host, and the location of the place was fantastic, just two blocks from the red line, and really easy access to the airport and the amtrak train. Highly recommended. I had the best time in Boston and this place was a part of it.

  • Location: Easy to get to from airport. Short walk from Broadway station. The nearby Broadway st has many options for food and drinks.
Host: Christine was nice enough to allow me an early check-in. I felt comfortable in the house. She let me use here coffee machine several times in a day. Thank you !

  • Christine's home is located in an up-and-coming locale within walking distance of great food and night life as well as the T. She is a wonderful hostess and the mini-fridge and coffee/breakfast foods were nice, homey touches that completed the experience. Highly recommend!

  • It was really great time thanks to Christine.
I arrived in Boston at 3am, but Christine waited for us!
I still feel sorry for that, anyway, it was really nice.
And about the location, It is really perfect to stay.
This house is near the Broadway station, so it is convenient and easy to visit everyplace in Boston.
About the house, It is someway old house, but it is very clean!
specially, the room for guest was neat. I really loved that comforter and bed. It was so warm that I wanted to stay more in this room.
One more, bathroom! she fixed her tub, It is just new one!

If you want to find some place to stay in Boston, I highly recommend it to you
I even want to stay her house if I have a chance to visit Boston once more.
    Thank you Christine!

  • Christine is so very nice and kind! She shared her meal with me and lent me gloves as I did not have any.
Bella is a very sweet dog and you won't notice her unless you ask to se her, as I did :)
You have your own tv in the room, which is nice. Plus your own little fridge. The apt is conveniently located, close to the Metro. It is however an old and worned down building and the flat can really do with a good scrub down!

  • The location was great since it is just a mile to the new convention center and from downtown. Also very convenient to the subway and bus system. Christine seemed nice enough although neither of us were in her residence much. I was attending a convention and she has two jobs. I only met her once in four days. That was not an issue. The actual room was adequate and although I shared the bathroom with Christine, there was never any conflict over use.
The place was clean enough and functional which is all I was interested in. It had free wi-fi and cable TV. The room itself is small, but you had the option of using the living room and kitchen, which I did not need. Again the part I liked was its location.

About
I am a young working professional, I work in finance during the day and work at the bar 3 nights a week. I probably won't be home much for someone staying with me but can give lots of suggestions for places to go. I have a 1 yr old pitbull named Bella who is a sweetheart!! She goes to doggy daycare and sleeps in my room. When I'm not working, I like to run and travel!
