The room feels very comfortable and we enjoy our holiday at Sara home. Sara picks up when we arrive at train station. It needs 15 mins to Sara home when you are taking a walk and the supermarket is near to home and 10 mins to arrive. Also, the fish over chips restaurant which opposites to supermarket is really delicious (pl order bigger fish and small chips, plus a half fried chicken with cream soda.) Sara prepared the breakfast for us and fresh milk which made us (email hidden) don't hesitate to book it when you want to tour in Windermere which is easily to get X6 bus to anywhere you would like to. The X6 is at the train station and you can buy one day explore ticket 10.5 pound/person to tour in Windermere. BTW: the swan biscuits in Swan Inn is really tasty.
I was welcomed warmly by Matthew. He even brought me a nice cup of tea shortly after I arrived. I was provided with literature of the area, walking tours, places to eat, etc. I was treated warmly during the entirety of my stay.
Lovely stay. Setting is sublime. Sara was helpful with good advice on local attractions.
Such a beautiful location, and a lovely space to stay in. Matthew and Sara were both warm and welcoming without crowding us at all. Lovely views and garden, and plenty of privacy with the room separated from the main house.
We found Sarah and Matthew hospitable and helpful with directions and information exploring the Lakes district. Even though accommodation was compact was sufficient. Breakfast was delivered to our doorstep each morning. Wonderful views of Grange over the Sands from gardens.
Matthew was there on our arrival and made us feel very welcome and quickly ran through everything we needed to know. The room was exactly as described, decorated to a high standard and spotless! The location was easy to find with their instructions and was very peaceful and quiet. The location is perfect for visiting the wider area as well as being very close to amenities right on the doorstep. Each morning Sara or Matthew brought our breakfast of warm croissants and yogurt at an agreed time and it felt very luxurious to have this “room service”.
Whilst we were looking at the amazing view from their beautiful back garden Matthew kindly brought out his binoculars so that we could see more detail – so if you’re thinking of booking it’s definitely worth taking some along – the views are wonderful!! Thanks to them both for a superb break.
Had a great few days in a beautiful setting and a gorgeous home. Sara and matthew were very helpful with suggestions for the area and we loved the breakfasts too especially when we got to sit out on the terrace with that amazing view. We had a really chilled few days and the standard, style and atmosphere of where we stayed certainly helped a lot Ian and Heath
