Very comfortable single bedroom with private separate lobby, and downstairs shower room in safe & leafy SW13, 30-minutes from Central London and very close to Hammersmith Metro: DISTRICT (green) line; PICCADILLY (blue) line also goes directly to all Heathrow terminals,Circle (yellow) line and the HAMMERSMITH & CITY (pink) line. HAMMERSMITH METRO CONNECTS WITH THE ENTIRE UNDERGROUND NETWORK . My place is 8 minutes on the bus to Hammersmith. Clean accommodation includes use of kitchen for heat n eat/very light cooking only, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, wireless internet, continental adaptor plug, etc. The house has 2 bathrooms and a shower room. Towels are provided. I'll be happy to give you a tour of of Barnes.
Barnes is close to Kensington High St (Palace & gardens), South Kensington (3 Museums: Natural History, Science & Victoria & Albert), Knightsbridge (Harrods), Hyde Park & the West End and is well served by public transport. There are 5 bus routes Nos: (phone number hidden) (goes directly to Westfields Europe's largest Shopping Centre in Shepherds Bush) , 33 & 419, all go directly to Hammersmith. The No.419 travels down my Road. Nos 33 & 72 are 24-hour buses. There are also other 24-hour buses from Hammersmith to West End & other parts of London. There are two national rail stations: BARNES & BARNES BRIDGE, both go to Waterloo (links up with the Metro) and other destinations in and around London. We are near the main arterial roads: A3, A4, M3, M4 (Heathrow Airport) and North & South Circular. Good connections to the M25.
The beautiful landscaped gardens both front and back, designed by myself, are good for al fresco meals. Guests can use the huge kitchen-cum-breakfast room and dining rooms. There is residents' parking, but guests may park in a private drive depending on avalibity.
The single bedroom has under-bed storage space, wardrobe has hanging area + wire rack shelves (space on top of wardrobe), bedside table has 3 drawers, bedside lamp and mirror. The room overlooks a beaufiful landscaped garden and has a private lobby. The shower room downstairs includes wash basin, toilet, towel rails and mirrored cabinets. Towels are provided. The local area, looped by the river Thames, ('Barnes on Thames') is a small London village with many pubs, (including the famous live jazz venue "Bulls Head" ), restaurants, cafes (all day breakfasts), delis, artisan bakery, local butchers, fish shop, frozen food cook shop, a weekly Saturday farmers market, artisan shops, 2-screen cinema and a lively social calendar. This makes for a great local community run by the "Barnes Community Association" (BCA). A Convenience Store is 3 min. walk. Barnes has four mini supermarkets: 24-hour Tesco/petrol station, two Sainsburys & Londis, plus local butcher, fishmonger, greengrocers, bakeries, etc, etc. We have a local cinema, sports facilities with tennis courts and 5 a side football pitches. Plus the Barnes Sports club. Barnes is very green with plenty of places for walkers, including a riverside Wildlife Reserve and the Wetlands Centre which is worth checking out. Ideal for bird watchers!
Other nearby local attractions include the world famous Kew Gardens, Richmond Deer Park, Bushy Park and Hampton Court. You could also visit neighbouring Sheen, Mortlake and Richmond.

All in a very safe, tranquil and carefree London riverside village with a marvellous community spirit!
There are 2 mainline Railway Stations directly into Waterloo that connect to the Meto and other areas in and around London. Several bus services (5) to Hammersmith Bus/Metro station direct, that connects up to the ENTIRE London transport network system and National Rail main line stations.
Two local 24-hour bus service: No 72 and 33.
Easy access to the Road Network includes: North & South Circular Routes, Westway, A3, A4, M3 & M4 (Motorways).
I have just ONE very beautiful 'artistic' map of Barnes and you are very welcome to take a photo of it on your smart phone/tablet.
Leaflets/Brochures/Maps etc can be found in the room and in front of the TV in the kitchen.

The Barnes Trail (marked by silver discs on pavement/sidewalk) is an interesting walk around center of Barnes, taking in places of interest, cafes, restaurants, pubs, delis and much more.
