The location was alright. There were adequate blankets and pillows and I liked the kitchen and other amenities. There was a party downstairs that lasted until about 4am and was disruptive. In the end, you get what you pay for with this listing.
the house is in a good position , very near to the overground station.
Actually we found some problems with bathroom, since the presence of a lot of people made the use of the bath a little difficult.
Another problem was the fact that there was only one socket in our room...and no sockets in the bath.
leaving these small problems , we had good time!
Staying at Sidney's flat was my first Airbnb experience and it is unfortunate but he uses false advertising to mislead travellers. My family and I stayed in the room called Brazil. Sidney has put up pictures of the room on Airbnb taken from an angle that makes the room look much bigger than it actually is. For all the four rooms in the house, there is only ONE shower cubicle and ONE toilet, both of which are separated by a wall in the middle. There is no lift in this house and it is on the second floor.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a strange, moldy smell in the staircase and the corridor. Our small room smelled better than the corridor, but a faint smell remained throughout our stay. There were also no towels or clean bedsheets on the extra mattresses that we were provided. When we asked for clean sheets, the host told us the cleaner had changed them but would give us clean sheets later. We didn't get any. We never saw the cleaner or the host himself. The host also never bothered to return our calls or texts the second time after we had already complained once about the dirty sheets.
Moreover, the radiator in our room was leaking, because of which our mattress got wet. We also couldn't use the washing machine to do our laundry because it was broken. Two other girls staying in the flat also told us that the machine was leaking and smelling when they tried to use it.
The kitchen and the toilet were clean. The lone bathroom/shower cubicle was cramped and we were sharing it amongst 11 people. Also, the shower does not have the best pressure, plus the water temperature changes from very hot to very cold repeatedly while you shower.
Location wise, this house is anything but the 7 minutes from London Bridge as the host advertises. It is about 40 minutes by tube to Oxford Circus and Euston and an hour to Paddington. You should brace yourself for a lot of walking and climbing stairs if you have heavy luggage and are staying at Sidney's.
My family and I were quite appalled at the conditions that we had to stay in, as well as at the host's lax attitude. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Nice place, it's really easy to get there. And even though we didn't get to know the owner, he helped us out and explained us everything not to get lost. It was clean and confortable. Good quality-price relation.
We had an ok stay here. The pictures look a bit nicer than the actual room. A big plus is that the place is very well connected and the price / quality was ok. Negative point: there was a very unpleasant smell ( i guess the sewer) in the house.

On a more personal level I am a laid back person who loves dancing Forró, travelling and mixing with fun and interesting people.
In terms of being a guest I always treat your property as if it were my own - I believe in clean living I don't smoke and only drink tiny amounts. I am sociable and can talk a lot. At this stage in my life I do like some level of comfort, but it does not have to be extravagance.
My life motto: Stay POSITIVE; Look for the POSITIVE; Generate POSITIVE Energy!
