Queen of Tarts, Cow's Lane: Great carrot cake, mismatched china, outside area. Craft market on Saturday.
Places I like to eat nearby:
Nede: modern Irish food with a twist. Chefs from the famous Noma restaurant in Copenhagen. Great Early Bird. Love the fish. Lunch special for Euro 15 including a glass of wine!
Odessa: restaurant and club. Love brunch, especially Smoked Chicken Quesadillas and Bloody Mary's. Strong coffee, lively atmosphere.
Crackbird: trendy fried (and grilled) chicken. Love the burnt lemon feta dip and homemade soft drinks.
Ciao Bella Roma: Italian pizzeria and trattoria. Great lunch and early bird deals. Serves pizza until very late Friday and Saturday.
The WInding Stair: modern Irish food. Great for seafood.
Joburger: best burgers and sweet potato fries. Cool outside area opposite Grogans (great pub with a mix of ould codgers and trendies and full-on nutters). Castle Market, between Georges Street and The Powerscourt Townhouse Centre.

Interaction with Guests
I usually meet with guests, if I am at work I will arrange for someone familiar with the apartment and Dublin to meet with you. I am contactable by Airbnb message, phone, email or text. I very much enjoy interacting with guests. Where there is a problem with the listing, I am a firm believer that 'quickest shared, soonest mended.'
It is in the heart of the city centre. You can walk anywhere you want to be in a matter of minutes. I love the location, and the atmosphere in the heart of old Dublin. There are lots of great pubs, restaurants and cafes, Francis St (the antiques district), St Patrick's Cathedral and park (love to hear the bells). It is very safe.
You will not need public transport in the city centre. If you wish to go further afield, bus, train and tram are nearby. You can jog/walk/run/bike along the canal or in the Phoenix Park.
Other Things to Note
The heating is updated to a German efficient system. It works on a thermostat - there is no need to leave it on 24 hours, the apartment will heat up very quickly.
The apartment is no smoking. It is of course possible to smoke on the balcony.

Kitchen. Fully equipped with fridge freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, hob and washing machine.
Good location, comfortable and a lovely spacious balcony. I loved the city sounds! The communication with Daragh was great!
Daragh was great! Very accommodating of our late arrival and helped us pick out a few new places to visit around Dublin.
Daragh was supremely accommodating and hospitable. He arranged for an early check-in (which we appreciated very much) and offered several suggestions for tours and sights that would appeal to me specifically. The conference schedule kept me busier than I expected, so I wasn't able to act on his suggestions, but I fully intend to do one of the tours he suggested on our one night in Dublin on the way home.
The apartment is centrally located, but not so much so that you are within the din of the bars. Since we were there during the Rugby World Cup and for the GAA All-Ireland final, that's saying something. It is on a busy road, so there is some traffic noise. The noise didn't disturb my sleep, and my husband resolved his issues by making more use of the white noise app on his smartphone.
The apartment was exactly as advertised and was equipped with everything we needed for cooking. If you don't feel like throwing lunch together, the cafe across from the apartment makes a brilliant sandwich.
Thank you, Jaime, for your honest and fair review. The apartment is located in the heart of the city centre and there is traffic noise. I am only sorry that your work prevented you from fully enjoying Culture Night! Bite of Life cafe opposite the apartment is garnering a plethora of fans from Airbnb :)
Daragh was an absolutely wonderful host. Our plane arrived in Dubline quite late and due to my own lack of technical finesse, we couldnt reach Daragh when we arrived (I hadn't activated the internet on my phone and therefore the texts I send Daragh through the airbnb app didn't go through.) Daragh was, none the less, still very kind and friendly when we finally hooked up - very late on a week day. Daragh was ready to offer us all the help and information we could have wanted. The flat has a perfect location and is everything the Pictures and discriptions offers. We will definately recommend this host and flat.
La ubicacion inmejorable, el departamento es realmente precioso y muy cerca de todo. Daragh y Edgar fueron excelentes anfitriones. Nos encanto conocerlos. Everything excelent!!! Dublin is realy a lovely place to visit. The people is realy kind. See you soon boys!!!
We enjoyed our visit to Dublin very much & appreciated all the pre-stay information that Daragh provided us with. He really knows his city! And he has a passion for making his guests feel welcome. The apartment is fantastically located for accessing the city on foot.
This was a perfect location for our last two nights in Ireland. The apartment itself was spacious and clean. Daragh and Edgar were flexible with check in and helped direct us where to park. Daragh also checked in with us a few times throughout our stay to make sure everything was going okay. Communication was wonderful!
