I always answer to my guests almost in real time (according to the time zone/jet lag) and I always try my best to personally meet all of the guests. If I can't (because of working time) my dad meets all of the guests instead. He lives 2 minutes away from the apartment and he is always at disposal in case guests need assistance.

  • Nicola & his father, Paolo, have made our stay in Venice / Murano a moment never to be forgotten. The appartment is very nice, clean, quiet & very cosy. Nicola & Paolo's welcome was very warm and friendly, always ready to share a good advise, a hint for a restaurant.
I definitely recommend them ... you won't regret it

  • Nicola and His Father were wonderful to rent from. Upon arriving Nicola's dad met us at the boat stop and walked us to the flat which was less than a five minute walk. The flat is located on the third floor. It was spacious, clean, roomy and comfortable. There was a TV in the main bedroom as well as the livingroom. Nicola's flat had a huge selection of movies and also an xbox. The jacuzzi tub was amazing. The apartment was recently updated. I didnt realize, I had to preorder internet but Nicola was able to get me internet with in a day. He was more than willing to deliver the wi fi to me. I definitely will be back. Thanks Nicola and Dad!

  • Nice welcome with friendly support (we were offered to buy some beverages for us in advance). Everything as expected, maybe better (except terrace, that is in fact a small balcony)! The Vaparetto is running very frequently to main spots, the 72-hours tickets are available at stop "Murano Colonna". We enjoyed to relax with the great offer on DVD on the rainy evenings.
Final: It is a good place to calm down after crowded Venice.

  • My mother and me stayed in nicolas home for 4 days in October. Paolo picked us up at the waterbus-station and showed us the flat. He is very nice and friendly and helpful. As Nicola wrote, the Place where the flat is, is very quiet and there were not much tourists. Murano is very beautiful!
In the flat there is a card of Murano with important things on it like good restaurants, busstops, pharmacy and shops (vegetables, bakery, supermarket...), that helped us to find everything we needed in a short time!
The last waterbus (direction murano) leaves the railwaystation venice at 21.00 and later there are nightbusses (from 1-5 am).
Nicola offered us to visit the glassfactory where he works. Unfortunately he got sick that day, but he immediately organized that his brother-in law (working there aswell) showed us around. It was very interesting, he explained us all we wanted do know. :-)
If I ever go back to venice, I would stay in Nicolas Home again!

  • Nicola was an excellent host and the apartment on Murano is gorgeous. The island is a boat ride away from Venice and is very quiet and beautiful with many restaurants and shops. Nicola and his wife helped us schedule a private boat tour of Venice for our honeymoon and also arranged a taxi service for us to the train station when we left. There's a big tub with jets which was great after traveling for many days. The wifi in Venice was down while we were visiting but they do have a hotspot you can rent if you need internet. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Nicola!

  • Apartment beautiful and tastefully decorated. Felt at home and at ease. Nicola's dad, Paulo was wonderful to deal with and Nicola was warm and receptive. Glass blowing tour great, especially for the kids. Murano is a great location for families visiting Venice.

  • Very very good. Great support by the host. And a great location and apartment. Would stay again.

  • Nicola, the host was very quick and answered every questions, his father was also very qick picking us up when we arrived. The apartman was clean and working, big enough for 4 people, or family too, as it has 2 bedrooms. We only stayed for 2 nights, for this it was really a good choice. Murano is a perfect spot to stay in Venice. Away from the huge tourist crowds, but in 20 minutes on San Marco or Biennale if you want to. Murano itself is a place worth to visit, vaporettos are running nonstop, 24 hours literally, so you can go anytine anywhere around the island if you want to.

    September 2013
  • We had a great stay in Murano at Nicola's. His Dad, Paolo, picked us up as soon as we arrived on Murano and walked us to the appartment.

A few important things to know: the appartment is on the 3rd floor, in NorthAmerican standard, with no elevator in the building, so beware if you have large/heavy suitcases.

Also, the AC does not quite suffice to cool the whole appartment when it is very hot and humid (we were there in late July 2013, and the temperature was in the high 30sC and extremely humid, so perhaps, not totally typical) but at night, it is enough to cool off the bedrooms.

Also, the terrace is really a not very large balcony.

Finally, check or ask for schedule for vaporettos back to Murano if you are planning on staying late in Venice (after 8pm) as there are fewer vaporettos that go back and forth and not from all stations.

Other than that, Nicola and Paolo are very nice, very, very helpful and were willing to go out of their way to make our stay as good and enjoyable as possible.

We got to meet Nicola when we went to the glass factory that he works in and we got VIP treatment! ;-)

We truly enjoyed our stay on Murano.

    Thank you Nicola and Paolo

  • Nicola's father met us at the vaparetto and was very gracious. He said that his english was not very good, but he did a great job. I was surprised that I had to sign paperwork and it was in Italian so I was a bit concerned but nothing happened. The apartment is beautiful and even though it has air conditioning, only the hall was cool, the rest of the apartment was hot. We liked staying on Murano, it was quieter than Venice and a great location.

About
Hi everybody! My name is Nicola and I was born and raised in Venice. I love my city, that's the reason why I want you to discover it like a real native. My apartment is in a very "venetian" part of the city, a district where locals are living. Cà Romeo was my home until few months ago, that's why it is fully equipped with anything you might need, forniture was chosen by me, it was restored less than 2 years ago and that's why you will stay in a "home", not in a house filled in with as many beds as possible, just to make money. I love sport, soccer is my favourite (well, as 99% of Italians), I have a lot of friends, movies are what relaxes me, I love eating and I love my cat, that makes me feel happy everytime I go back home. My girlfriend is a Travel Director and she made me love travelling. She didn't live in Venice, that's the reason why I left my home. Now we live 30 minutes away from Venice.
