Interaction with Guests
I always answer to my guests almost in real time (according to the time zone/jet lag) and I always try my best to personally meet all of the guests. If I can't (because of working time) my dad meets all of the guests instead. He lives 2 minutes away from the apartment and he is always at disposal in case guests need assistance.
Murano is one of the "most Venetian" places of the city, away from the noise and crowd of the city center but still easily accessible to all of the main sightseeings of Venice.
You don't have to worry because Murano is not far from the city center. It is located 10 minutes away from Venice by water bus and the area is extremely safe, day and night time too.
Check in from 14h00
Check out until 11h00
It is not allowed to smoke in the apartment.
We love pets but we also have to respect other people living in the building so we can't accommodate your pets.
Nicola was a very prompt organised host, he arranged for his dad Paulo to meet us for an early check in which was very helpful despite us being late! He was very prompt with communication pre arrival and Paulo was very obliging giving us tips on where to visit in Murano for good food and drinks. The apartment was comfortable and clean with all necessary amentities and kitchenware. The apartment is right next to a boat stop so easy to get to Venice (about 15 minutes) and a lovely scenic ride along the way. Murano is super quiet and a nice break away from the hustle and bustle of Venice with a great supermarket a 5 minute walk from the house. Nicola was also kind enough to leave us with a small token of Murano Island (2 glass key chains) to take home. Great games cupboard too! Thanks Nicola and Paulo we had a lovley time!
We absolutely loved the apartment and the island of Murano. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, with easy access to Venice, this is a great place.
Nicola was an amazing host. His father greeted us and showed us the place, while he was in touch with Nicola, as well. Nicola helped get us a tour of the glass factory (as well as a discount), and even gave the tour himself. He catered to our requests and was incredibly gracious.
The wife device worked very, very minimally, really only allowing us access to some emails from our Smartphones, but no access on our computers to the internet.
The apartment was in great condition. We spent lots of time down the block in the courtyard playing soccer with the kids, and several locals would come out and give us snacks because they saw us out there so much. Great place, great people! Thank you!
We stayed at Nicola's apartment five days, and we thouroughly enjoyed it. We met both Nicola and his dad - very nice people with good sense of humor.
The place is very clean, tastefully appointed minimalist style. Very quiet at night. Apartment is on the third floor, so keep that in mind, if you have heavy luggage. It is spacious (by big city standards) and light. Most importantly, the bed is comfortable, although at first I was concerned when I saw it had spring mattress. Great location - quaint neighborhood, just steps from the water bus stop, and the main shopping/dining street. I love running in the mornings, and small island of Murrano was a perfect place - I did not have to worry about getting lost.
All in all - great experience.
Staying at Nicola's was a pleasure!! He gave us great directions and additional information with ferry schedules, and his lovely wife was there to greet us. It was so nice of you to help us bring our bags to the ferry port -- it was very nice of you. The apartment was very clean and exactly as described, we couldn't have been happier :)
I've been thinking about my trip for a day now, and I'm not sure I could ask for anything more. Not only was the home absolutely gorgeous, full of amenities, and in perfect repair, Nicola and the team of people caring for us helped to make our stay great.
Nicola helped arrange our every need. We were welcomed by a private assistant and water taxi (for a little extra money), and were brought straight to the apartment and given a cocktail, as well as all of the information we needed about the house and island to begin our journey. With the minor questions or problems we had, someone was always available to answer. Nicola gave us a private tour of the glass factory on our request. On checkout, Nicola's mom even gave us a souvenir. This is the very definition of hospitality.
We got much more than we bargained for, and enjoyed our stay on quiet, friendly Murano more than any other part of Veneto.
If we were to go to Venice again, I would stay nowhere else. If I had a friend or family member going to Venice, I would urge them to look no further than Ca'Romeo.
My stay at Nicola's apartment in Murano was very nice! The apartment is beautiful, spacious and clean. Nicola is a very gracious host providing a nice little cocktail and a free private tour of the glass factory in Murano! This was a great experience and very cool to see. Murano is a very safe and quiet place to stay. No bustling nightlife or many loud tourists. It is relatively easy to access to and from Venice, however keep in mind boats become less frequent the later it gets in the night. This is why I think it is great for small families or people who want a more relaxed vibe from the busy Venice scene.
All in all I enjoyed my time in Murano, the apartment is great and Nicola was a very nice host!
My name is Nicola and I was born and raised in Venice.
I love my city, that's the reason why I want you to discover it like a real native. My apartment is in a very "venetian" part of the city, a district where locals are living. Cà Romeo was my home until few months ago, that's why it is fully equipped with anything you might need, forniture was chosen by me, it was restored less than 2 years ago and that's why you will stay in a "home", not in a house filled in with as many beds as possible, just to make money.
I love sport, soccer is my favourite (well, as 99% of Italians), I have a lot of friends, movies are what relaxes me, I love eating and I love my cat, that makes me feel happy everytime I go back home.
My girlfriend is a Travel Director and she made me love travelling. She didn't live in Venice, that's the reason why I left my home. Now we live 30 minutes away from Venice.
