The Space

I love San Francisco and I love showing people all the hidden treasures. This includes food, views, nightlife, china town tea tastings, farmer's markets, restaurants, music and of course ART! Whatever your pleasure I can give you a recommendation or reservation(I worked in the restaurant industry out here for 8 years). This city has so much to offer, which makes this place a great place to rest your head. It's a few blocks to all the major bus lines, cable cars, north beach, trans america pyramid, financial district, union square, in the beautiful safe neighborhood of Nob Hill! For being in the heart of the city, it's pretty quiet top floor apt nestled in the back of an alley.
Sheets, Pillows, & Blankets are provided.
My apartment is located in Nob Hill in cozy alley off Mason St. a block from three historical landmarks. These include the Top of the Mark, Fairmont Hotel and Pacific Union Club an added bonus is Grace Cathedral.
Within 10 blocks are Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach, The Ferry Building along the Embarcadero, access to major public transit like BART, CALTRAIN, GREYHOUND & MUNI.
I have Free wireless internet access. I have lived here for 8 years and know the city inside and out from working in restaurants and the artist community. I love to eat well and affordable. I enjoy sharing a meal and conversation. If you want a balanced visit and good energy this is the place. taxi from the airport is approximately $40 -$50 one way depending how much you tip.
2 Hour Street Parking is available M-Sat. but check signs for street cleaning.

CLIMATE & WEATHER: As Mark Twain once said" The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Which doesn't mean that we don't have good weather or warm days, but the best policy is: bring layers (tanks, t-shirts, sweaters and scarves) It's just gets really windy as the day progresses and we are known for relentless fog during june, july and august.

SF & BAY AREA EVENTS INFO:
You can pick up a free SF Weekly or SF Guardian newspaper on just about any corner in the city to find out about night life or online to find a variety of events info as well. There are more than plenty of diverse cultural events, music, art, dance, open mikes, sports, nature/outdoor, nightlife, etc. and there is something here for everybody! SF is a very vibrant, cosmopolitan and internationally recognized city for it's array of cultural diversity, architecture, unique history and of course, liberal politics.

RESTAURANTS:
Within a 10 block radius one has an array of international cuisines to choose from at affordable prices. From Italian, Vietnamese, Mexican, Japenese, Mediterranean, Vegan/Vegetarian, Indian, Thai, French, and many small independently owned gourmet deli markets and cafés, farmer's markets.

Extended Stay Rates may be available upon request.

City Tours of SF are available Sun-Friday Rates are negotiable.*

The Neighborhood

Everything is so close: chinatown (2 blocks), north beach (6 blocks), union square (5 blocks) and just a few blocks from all the major transportation to the museums.

  • Our short vacation in San Francisco and our stay in Nichols room was a nice time. The location is really perfect, only 2-3 minutes to the next cable car stop with direct connection to the fishermans warft in the north and the union square in the south. And the roof top provides a realy fantastic view! Nichol was absolutely uncomplicated and very helpful by finding the best connection to the golden gate bridge.

  • Great apartment in a super location for a week long stay in San Francisco. Nichol was great to work with and provided everything I needed! The location is walking distance to most of the main SF attractions and just a $10-15 cab ride from pretty much everywhere else in the city - there's even a hotel a block away where you can easily catch a cab.

Great experience with airBNB, I highly recommend staying at Nichol's place if you are looking for a chill, down to earth place to stay - for work or enjoying the city!

  • Nichol was a sweet and helpful host. She provided great tips to help me & my husband get around SF, treated us to an amazing breakfast of cinnamon french toast & the place itself was clean. Her rooftop is a must-see - I wish I had a moment to do yoga up there because the view is divine!

About
Hi everyone, I offer 2 SEPARATE bedrooms OR sofabed for SEPARATE RATES in a calm environment. If you are interested in the whole apartment we can work out a rate. I live on the edge of chinatown and Nob Hill in a serene alley off the main strip with a fantastic view of the bay. I am a professional freelance photographer who enjoys, music, food and friends. I make a point to embrace the simple things in life and being respectful and conscious of my effects upon people, places and things. I enjoy learning about other countries, culture and language. My favorite experiences of traveling are outside the US in particular Dominican Republic and Mexico. I typically take my guests along a walk in the city and to the local farmer's market if our schedule coincide. I also love sharing a cup of tea and a life experience/story. Life is about learning, giving, sharing and receiving to grow and move forward.
