Parking is very difficult in Philadelphia. This is a city after all. There is free parking on the street from 8pm-8am, but after that it is only free for two hours during the day and they will ticket you immediately. The TV show parking wars was based filmed in Philadelphia for this reason. Parking garages are plentiful and nearby and range anywhere from 20-50 a day. You do NOT need a car to experience Philadelphia. Live like a local and leave the car at home!
This is a private apartment you will not be sharing the bathroom or kitchen.

The Locust apt was in a great location; walking distance to many restaurants and bars. We were able to grab taxi's at the street corner easily with a $5 fare to most places. The apartment was quiet, the bed was comfortable and the ac and ceiling fans kept the place cool despite the heat outside. We didn't spend a lot of time at the apartment, but we did notice the shower was tricky, the wi-fi didn't work most of the time and the fridge didn't keep anything cold. We were able to keep our suitcases in the office to have extra time to site see on our last day in the city which was super helpful. The people in Philly were very friendly, architecture was gorgeous and history is very rich. We would love to come back!
The Locust location was perfect for what we needed. The bed was super comfortable, we had privacy, and the location was great. The host, Andrea was also very helpful and friendly. We did not meet her but she was easily reachable through phone.
I never met Andrea but check-in and check-out were very easy. She was very accessible and answered all questions promptly. It was a great location. The fridge didn't seem to be working when I was there and the dishwasher was full of dishes. As other reviewers said, the hot water for the shower is a little tricky and the water pressure is very low. My suggestion is to sleep on the mattress under the couch (the one on the couch isn't as comfortable).
Had a great stay at Andrea's apt! The location is great, only a 5-10 minute walk to city center and suburban station- it was a bit tough getting our 50 lb suitcase up the stairs but that was already warned so we were expecting it. Andrea was nice enough to leave her apt at a nice cool 65 degrees upon our arrival which really helped us out cause it was a hot and muggy spring day. The bed was super comfy and the place had all the essentials! Thanks for letting us stay!
Andrea, was very welcoming and prompt with her communications and the property itself met our needs and the description perfectly. The location is amazing with lots of really nice restaurants within walking distance.
