A short walk from home is Parkwood Family Park which has BBQ's and children's playground. My time at Laura's place was short but it was everything I hoped it would be. The dog, Oscar, is so quiet that you almost forget that there is a dog living in the house. Laura was the perfect host, providing useful tips to getting around, and a delight to chat to about the day's events.
I have had the best time staying with Laura. She is a gracious and helpful host who is willing to make guests feel welcome and at home as soon as they arrive! Oscar is an absolute joy and the location is perfect for those who like a peaceful suburb near the university. The house has great facilities and I would recommend this host and house to anyone looking for a place in the Gold Coast :)
Laura's place is amazing!! Not only is the house warm and inviting, so is her genuine personality - Definitely great company!!
The house is roomy, with a gorgeous garden and close to public transport, the hospital, shops and everything you could possibly need.
The place is neat and tidy, and the pets are so cute and add to the greatness of Laura's wonderful place.I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again, most definitely!!
Stayed for 5 days. Was a very average place
The bedrooms were termed as Double Bed rooms but were even congested for a single person, no where did they appear to be double bed rooms.
There wasnt any proper ventilation and was too humid inside the rooms
Even the ceiling fan in one of the rooms was faulty
Overall not a good experience
WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE
In my defence the two single rooms are as advertised. Single rooms with king single beds, which are larger than single beds. Not advertised as double. There is one double bedroom which a long term tenant has been renting for twelve months. That particular room will become vacant in February 2014. Binni and her friends stayed here during the heat wave late dec 2013 early January 2014. They requested and accepted an extra single mattress on the floor which of course made the room smaller. I was very DISAPPOINTED with the conduct of Binni. My first bad experience after two years of renting my space as well as staying in other apartments.
I enjoyed my stay in Laura's place. There is a cute dog and a lot of beautiful birds. Laura is very willing to help whenever I ask her about local's tips.
Great experience and excellent hosting.
Too bad I only stayed for a short time.
Staying with Laura (and little doggie buddy Oscar) was a blast. Great location near public transport that will get you where you need to be, and a beautiful walk to the Uni.
I enjoyed my convos with Laura and regret having to leave early in the morning on my last day and not being able to give her a brig hug goodbye and thank her properly for welcoming me into her home and allowing me to stay for 11nights! :).
Had a great time staying at Laura's or the Big Day Out weekend! She was a great host and great company, and even learned our Scandinavian card-game :) Hope to see you again soon!!!
Laura was very accommodating and helpful and the room for the night served my purposes. Laura had prepared some dinner to share which was very thoughtful. The accommodation is on a bus route and there is a Pub a few minutes by car down the road.
