Interaction with Guests
Almost every weekend I am in town, I leave Los Angeles, often with friends, to go "off-roading" with our trucks, to explore the amazing landscape that surrounds the city, from the desert (Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Salton Sea, Red Rock Canyon, Anza-Borrego, Giant Rock, etc.) to the mountains (San Bernardino Mountains, San Pedro Mountains, Santa Monica Mountains, Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, etc.) to along the shore. There are many extremely scenic trails in California that are dotted with ghost towns or old gold mines, etc., and, space-allowing, I'm always happy to take guests who are interested in seeing these kinds of things.
So. Aside from the interaction described above, I'll be easily reachable as I'll be using the master bedroom :)
The building is conveniently and centrally located, with a 2-minute drive to the I-10 freeway, 10 minutes from the beach heading west, and 10 minutes to downtown LA heading east. It is north of Culver City, south of Westwood & Century City, west of Beverly Hills, and east of Santa Monica. It is adjacent to an area of Los Angeles referred to as Cheviot Hills.
Within a 5-minute walk, you will reach Sushi Zo (best sushi in the world), Taco Plus, Starbucks, and a supermarket.
There is a bus stop half a block away, for those with no car (although a car in LA is highly recommended).
Approximately 1 mile away is a metro station.
Other Things to Note
Our maid services the apartment before and after you arrive. If anything is unclean upon your arrival, PLEASE let me know immediately, so we can fire her :)))
NOTE: I have two listings for this same flat. The one you are looking at now is for a shared situation in which we are living here in Los Angeles, and you are using the guest room. My other listing is for people who would like to stay in the flat privately, in which case we leave for a vacation :)
We installed hard-wood floors May 2013. And so, we try not to wear shoes inside. More importantly, we don't wear shoes upstairs, which is carpeted.
No smoking inside please. Of course, you are free to use the balconies to smoke. Your master bedroom has a private balcony, and so does the living room.
Please keep the kitchen clean and refrain from heavy frying :)
After midnight, please be as quiet as possible.
And......that's all I can think of!
We had a very nice, comfortable and adventurous stay at Ed and his girlfriends place! They were really kind and provided us everything we needed and offered to help us out whenever we needed help even though they were preparing to move. Contact and booking went very easy and well. Ed took us off-roading for a day (obviously the adventurous part) which was amazing. Big finale at an excellent sushi place. I definitely recommend Ed as a host and would not hesitate to go there again!
Ed was a fantastic host : Nice and welcoming.
It was a really pleasure to spend our first time in LA in this sweet home!
I recommend this places absolutely!!!
I had a great stay at Ed's place. He is a very welcoming and helpful host. The flat is spatious and comfortable, and having my own space (private bedroom with balcony and bathroom) was great for privacy. The neighbourhoud is nice (great for jogging), and well located. All necessary shops are just round the corner. Thanks again Ed, and see you soon!
We have been Ed´s first Guests and it was like visiting an old friend from the first minute. We booked superspontaneously and he just replied and accepted us on the spot on a sunday morning!
His casa could not be located more centrally with only minutes to all amneties - Freeway, Santa Monica/Venice Beach - Beverly Hills/Hollywood & even Downtown.
There is a big Vons (supermarket) just in walking distance to get whatever you need for breakfast and so on. The room has its own balcony and bathroom and the bed is extraordinary comfortable. ( Not to mention the awesome (live) piano tunes that spread over the casa from time to time and give you an even more comfortable feeling)
So Grab your stuff together, stay with Ed, have a beer or two with him in the evening or even go on an offroadtour with him and his friends in the desert/Moutains - if you are bored with lying on venice beach like a dead whale all day.
Besides that, Ed has been arround in the world and knows mostly all the cool places to visit - in case you are on vacation or just curious. Thanks a lot Ed, we will be back soon!
I travel often, for pleasure. To give you an idea, some of the countries I have visited include Pakistan, North Korea, Cuba, Russia, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, China, Israel, Bahamas, UAE, Czech Republic, Italy, India, Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Hungary, South Korea, United Kingdom, Greece, Canada, Mexico, Romania, Peru, Costa Rica, Japan, Serbia, Spain, Croatia, Turkmenistan, and all around USA, including Alaska and Hawaii.
I play piano and take lots of pictures.
Aside from traveling and photography and piano, I am also addicted to backgammon :) And, lastly, almost every weekend I am in town, I leave Los Angeles to go "off-roading" with my truck, to explore the amazing landscape that surrounds the city, from the desert to the mountains to along the shore. There are many extremely scenic trails in California that are dotted with ghost towns or old gold mines, etc., and I'm always happy to take guests who are interested in seeing these kinds of things.
