This is a self-contained cottage with a large room, two beds that can be brought together to make a double bed, a bathroom, a kitchen and a balcony with a beautiful view.
Laborie is a peaceful and authentic Caribbean village, if you are looking for discos and shopping mall you will be disappointed, but if you feel like bathing at and walking along a deserted beach, enjoying village life (and a cold beer with a fish meal at one of the local restaurants) or going for a hike in the hills, then you will enjoy a visit to Laborie.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Wonderful position with wide sea view and the sound of waves breaking. Basic rather dated house with poor lighting.
Oh la la! The place is not only beautiful, calm, safe and clean, it is also surrounded by an amazing community.
If you are looking for the authentic Ste.Lucia, you are at the right place! We have travelled a lot and we have not seen many places like here. In Laborie people truly love seeing you because tourism is done accordingly to local etiquette.
Evelyn and Yves made our stay just simple, fun and relaxing. The village is a real authentic charm and again people are amazing! Taste local fish and the fried chicken sold behind the soccer field!
Ask Evelyn to cook for you! Trust me you will not regret it! She is just so lovely and generous!
As for the house and the cottage, the view is breath taking, it is fully equiped to cook and the garden around is full of fruits, vegetables, cute birds, cat and gekko! You can actually pick up and eat the fruits there is there (grapes, guava, oranges, thym, tomatoes, papaya, apple, bay leaf...)
The cottage is so cute and perfect for anyone open to not staying in a resort. The beds were extremely uncomfortable however. The kitchen was perfect and the bathroom was spacious. The water to the cottage is run off of city water at night and is not very consistent. This means no showers at night after being out all day exploring. But you ask Evelyne in the morning to turn on the pump and there you go. The storms were loud but not a problem. The cottage felt very safe. Renting a car is not mandatory unless you want to leave Laborie. The village itself is cute and the people are so kind. The beach that is below the cottage is one of the most beautiful on the island.
There is a grocery store not too far away and plenty of pots and pans for cooking.
The villa at the Chalet La Mar was a beautiful base from which to explore the south west attractions (the Pitons, Soufriere, Mt. Gimie) in St. Lucia, and is a short drive from Hewanorra Airport. The view from the balcony that greeted us each morning was nothing short of stunning. The villa was spacious, including a spacious kitchen. There was also a small somewhat private beach that can be reached (with some difficulty) in about 10 minutes of walking. The villa is quite secluded and has no television, helping you to easily unplug and catch up on your reading. But not to worry, it has WiFi so you won't have to go cold turkey.
Just perfect! We've had a great time with our 1 year old, the house is great with a fantastic view and a short walk to Laborie and the beach
My girlfriend and i spent 4 nights here and it was absolutely amazing. Incredible location with beautiful views in addition to a private beach right below you. Everyone in Laborie is very friendly and welcoming. I've met some great people with big hearts full of love. Hard to beat simplicity!! Will come back again.
This was our first time experiencing St. Lucia and Mr. Renard made it a wonderful experience. Between him and Evelyn, we were made very at home and enjoyed our stay very much. Such a gorgeous, breath-taking view :)
