Interaction with Guests
My family and I really love to travel, AirBnb offered us the opportunity to do it when we stay home too. That means we love to chat and spent our time with guests, we'll be happy to share with you all teh tips and infos you need, as a glass of wine when you'll be back from your wandering.
But we understand what privacy means, too. If you'll prefer to have your own space and time, we won't bother in any way. You'll feel free to share part of your time with us as to stay by your own, astonished by the beauty of the eternal city.
Monte del Gallo is a kind of small town inside the city center. As the street is a dead end, almost no cars get around (above all by night) and you'll find real romans living in the neighborhood (how peculiar!). I felt in love with this area when I arrived in Rome from Milan, I guess you'll feel my feelings.
San Pietro train station, useful to go and come from Fiumicino airport and Termini train station, is 3 minutes walking distance. Bus nr. 64 last stop is just in from the station, and it should carry you in the heart of Rome in 10 to 15 minutes. Piazza Navona, campo de Fiori and Trastevere are within 15 to 20 minutes walking distance. Several bus stop, to reach almost all the city highlights, are just around the corner. In the area there are three pizzeria, some restaurants (one of those is my favourite) and bar to eat or for a snack.
Check-out 11.00 a.m., check-in from (phone number hidden) p.m.), but we can deal a earlier arrive. No animals allowed. Smoking allowed ONLY in balcony, never inside the apartment.
We loved our stay at Vinicio home! We wish our home is more like theirs~~ Vinicio and his wonderful family welcomed us like family!
He gave us great information on local eateries and how to use transportations~~
The breakfast were prepared each morning with coffee to cereal/bread/ ham and cheese ^^ Vinicio family is super nice and we felt like staying in our home! Grazie, Grazie, Grazie!!!
Staying at Vinicio's was our first Airbnb experience. To be brief and to the point: 5 stars without a doubt! Great place to stay in Rome.
Vinicio and his family have been very warm welcoming and helpfull in every sense. Our flight was delayed and Vinicio text messaged whether we were ok or needed help in finding his home; this gave use a welcoming feeling. When asked Vinicio had many tips on transport, restaurants or sightseeing for a rainy day.
The bed- and private bathroom were nice modern loooking, a good bed, spacious and clean. You will have all privacy you like to have. Breakfast was just what we liked and a good start of the day: yoghurt, toast with cheese and italian ham, juice and great coffee
We were welcomed with a good strong coffee together with the host. A safe clean and comfortable space as shown, with a warm and friendly family. The apartment is a short walking distance to the Vatican as well as a train station/bus stop as a jumping off point to explore Rome. The host was engaging and gave good recommendations for logistics and a local place for dinner.
Vinicio and his family made us feel welcome from the moment we entered their home.
Very helpfull, kind and amazing people. Venice had lots of tips, suggestions and ideas for us as tourists as to what to do, see, eat, drink and experience in Rome. Great room and private bathroom, 5 minutes from the Vatican and 15 minutes from down town Rome.
Fantastic hosts and family which I would let into my own home anytime!
I and my friend really loved staying in Vinicio's apartment with all the hospitality they provided that made us felt like home. Very nice, clean, and spacious apartment with a lot of books. We felt welcome in this warm little family. Helpful, friendly, communicative guy; lovely wife; and a handsome, courageous son. Vinicio tried to contact us as we came later than expected and offered help. He also spent times to helped us with good suggestions for our itinerary and we felt that he did his best to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was nice. The apartment is easily reached by both train and bus no 64, about 10-15 mins away from Vatican on foot (I walked slower than common people). Carefour express and some places for meals are simply at a walking distance. We will definitely go back to their place if we visit Rome again in the future. We recommend Vinicio's room for your stay in Rome, hosted with heart and care. Thank you Vinicio, Fransesca and Elia!
We really recommend this apartment! Vinicio and his very friendly family have a smartly decorated home very close to the 64 bus line and The Vatican. It's a good launching point for a Rome stay with great hosts to make you feel at home! They serve great breakfasts too.
About the Host, Vinicio
Hi, we are Vinicio (the bald one in the profile photo, now balder), Elia (the small one, now 9) and Francesca (the photographer). We love to travel and meet people from all over the world. I'm a writer (scripts for TV, above all), Francesca is a teacher, she teaches italian language to foreign people. We'll love to share our apartment with people with same interest: reading, cinema, music and above all travel. Although neither me nor Francesca are from Rome (I'm from Milan, she's from Sicily) we used to live here since 20 years and we feel definitely romans (Elia was born here). With our help, if you want, you should discover a lot of places out from the usual touristic spots. And sometimes, depending on free time in my job, I'll love to be a guide for you (absolutely for free). We can speak in english (ok, what I suppose seems to be english...) and french. And, like our spanish friends used to say, a little of itanol, a mix between italian and spanish, enough to understand and let us be understood.
