About this listing
Double room in a 2 bedroom flat, close to Dalston (0.5mile), and the City of London (3miles). Flat features a large bathroom, and rear garden with BBQ and outdoor seating.
The flat is well situated in the bohemian area of North East London. Locally it's just a couple of minutes walk north to Stoke Newington Church Street with all it's restaurants, cafes, delis, shops, pubs, and a nice park (Clissold). A five minute walk south and you hit the buzzy area of Dalston, with the many clubs, bars, galleries, live music venues, and vintage shops.
Slightly further a field 2 miles south east is the area of London Fields, which hosts a number of good places to eat and drink, plus an excellent Saturday market.
Beyond that 2.5 miles south of Stoke Newington is Shoreditch. Famous for it's street art, music scene, vintage shops, and the epicentre of London's creative community. It's filled with many bars, clubs, and restaurants, two famous markets (Brick Lane Sunday Market & Spitalfields Market). And many many galleries. If you're in town on the first Thursday of the month i'd particularly recommend this: (website hidden)
Transport wise there are overground trains from Rectory Road (3 mins walk away) taking you to Liverpool Street Station in 12mins, where you can connect with tube services to Central & West London. Underground and Overground services also run from Dalston Junction & Dalston Kingsland (15-10mins walk). Trains from Dalston Kingsland take you to the Olympic Park in 14mins.
Plus there are plenty of buses that run 24 hours to all parts of London.
No smoking inside the house.
Also no working from the flat. Sadly we cant accommodate guests looking to use the place as a home office during the day.
Other than that we don't really have any strict rules. We simply ask for a mutual level of common sense and courtesy (us included), and ask guests to be courteous when coming in late at night (after 24:00hrs) Sunday to Thursday. We love to go out and have fun as much as the next person, but demanding jobs curtail this a little during the week!
